Kuwait Petroleum International

Winter 2019

Dear Colleagues,

As we begin the New Year, we embark on new beginnings.

There have been top-level changes in the Kuwaiti oil sector with the appointment of a new H.E. Oil Minister, Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, while Hashim Sayed Hashim becomes the new CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

The oil industry faces further changes following Qatar’s decision to leave OPEC and focus its efforts on natural gas. Worldwide oil supply continues to increase and OPEC predicts that supply could rise above global requirements in 2019. Such changes will inevitably impact KPI’s operations and plans.

Developing our business in rapidly expanding markets around the world, often in joint venture, is an important part of KPI’s strategy to grow and strengthen. In Vietnam, we celebrated with our partners the start of commercial operations at Nghi Son refinery, a prestigious mega project that gives us a strong foothold in the Vietnamese market.

Over the past few months, KPI has received awards for exceptional performance across the business, which we report in this issue of Q8Sails. In Belgium, Q8North West Europe has been recognised by the Arab-Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for its outstanding contribution to the economy. Other awards included a Legal 500 Award for our Corporate Legal Team and a Lifetime Achievement Award from a leading industry body for a member of Q8Aviation’s technical team.

I congratulate everyone on your hard work and achievements which contributed to a successful 2018 for KPI and look forward to building on this strong performance in 2019.

I wish you and your families a happy and fulfilling New Year.

Sincerely,

Nabil Bourisli

The event was held in the presence of Prime Minis-ter of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc and other high-

ranking leaders. KPI President Nabil Bourisli headed a top-level delegation of officials from KPI management and the Kuwaiti oil sector, joining partners from Viet-nam and Japan.

Mr. Nabil Bourisli praised the valuable support and co-operation of all the sponsors in this prestigious joint venture, which demonstrate the strengthening relations between Kuwait, Vietnam and Japan. He commented: “This strategic US$9 billion investment in a major developing Asian market will enhance

KPI’s relations with other companies and open doors for new investments and partnerships to diversify Ku-wait’s crude oil.”

He added: “I am very proud of the great efforts made by KPI staff and the project workers in overcoming the many difficulties of this complex mega project to se-cure such a significant achievement.”

Located in the Nghi Son Economic Zone in the cen-tral province of Thanh Hoa, Nghi Son refinery is Viet-nam’s largest refinery. It is a joint venture between KPI and Idemitsu Kosan (35.1% share each), together with PetroVietnam (25.1% share) and Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals (4.7%).

The highest standards of sustainability have been instilled in the construction, operation and manage-ment of the refinery. Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Phuc expressed his appreciation of the con-tractors who conducted nearly 200 million safe work-ing hours on the project.

The refinery has an annual capacity of 10 million tonnes and will refine 200,000 barrels of Kuwaiti crude per day, meeting 40% of domestic oil and gas demand and 17% of petrochemical exports. Its premium prod-ucts include low sulphur diesel and gasoline in addi-tion to LPG, jet fuel and many petrochemicals such as polypropylene and benzene. Together with Dung Quat it will meet 70% of Vietnam’s total fuel demand and reduce the country’s dependence on imports.

The vast scale of production requires a massive work-force and provides hundreds of jobs to the local Viet-namese population.

Partners KPI and Idemitsu Kosan are also pioneering Vietnam’s first network of foreign fuel stations us-ing products from the refinery including diesel, pet-rol 92, gasoline 95 and sustainable gasoline E5. The

IQ8 brand is revolutionising the local fuel market with world-class safety and environmental standards, and outstanding customer service.

Mr. Nabil Bourisli concludes: “In addition to the eco-nomic benefits of the Nghi Son refinery, and the outlet it provides for Kuwaiti crude oil, it also provides the op-portunity for KPI employees to gain invaluable experi-ence from the challenges involved in such a complex and massive operation. This will help develop the skills required to manage other joint ventures with inter-national partners around the world and supports our ambition to be a global integrated oil and gas leader.”

More than 50 employees, representing the winning teams, attended the two-day event which was

held in the luxurious Olissippo Lapa Palace (hotel)

The award presentation and gala dinner was led by KPI President Nabil Bourisli, who said: “I warmly congratu-late all the winners. ERA recognises the most successful projects across the organisation and your hard work is making a great difference. It is enormously appreci-ated.”

More than 71 projects, involving 265 employees from across KPI Head Office and the Operating Units, were nominated for the 2017/18 awards in four categories: SSHE/corporate social responsibility, operational ef-ficiency, innovation and customer satisfaction. KUPIT achieved the notable achievement of being among the winners in all 4 categories

Project of the Year was awarded to Q8Spain for its partnership with Burger King to develop 15 Q8easy sites next to its restaurants in the southern region of Andalusia, as part of its strategy to grow its retail net-work sustainably. This is an excellent example of how KPI is expanding the business through successful Part-nerships around the world.

Azzam Al-Mutawa, VP IO and sponsor of the ERA, com-mented: “We were very impressed with the quality of the projects submitted for these awards and the stand-ard gets higher every year. Picking the winners must have been very difficult for the judging panel and we congratulate all the entrants on their achievements.”

The Excellence Recognition Awards have become a firm fixture in KPI’s annual calendar and it is antici-pated that next year’s competition will be more hotly contested than ever.

As a result, KPI Legal will be listed in the Legal 500 GC Pow-

erlist Middle East, which highlights the most influential general coun-sels and in-house lawyers and pro-motes the fantastic work they carry out around the world.

KPI Legal was presented with an official certificate to mark this achievement at a special event hosted by Legal 500 in Dubai on 16th October.

KPI President Nabil Bourisli says: “This is the first time that KPI Legal has been recognised by Legal 500 and it represents a remarkable achievement both for the department and the entire KPI organisation. I offer my sincere congratulations to General Counsel Juan Riancho and his team for their commitment and exceptional standard of work which has resulted in this acco-lade.”

Legal 500 has developed over 30 years into the larg-est and most in-depth survey of the international legal market. The findings of this unique publication

are seen by a vast range of clients, from international businesses and stock market companies to news-papers and magazines worldwide with a readership of more than ten million people.

When reviewing the performance of a legal department, Legal 500 takes various criteria into ac-count including size and strength, strong technical ability to handle the most complex work, capac-ity to take on large transactions and cases, historical track record,

geographical reach and, importantly, the opinion of leading law firms around the world.

Juan Riancho concludes: “I am very proud of my team in Kuwait and all KPI Legal teams across the company. They are all remarkable professionals with the highest standards of ethics, commitment, responsibility and competence. They make every ef-fort to achieve the best goals for KPI and the Legal 500 recognition is the result of their hard and dedi-cated work.”

The KPI Business Management System (BMS) has successfully unified our approach to ISO

certification. An integrated BMS culture has been introduced to achieve a more cohesive approach to developing corporate and operating unit man-agement systems. It has resulted in combining and standardising business processes across the organi-

sation to meet the 2040 strategic objectives.

Successful audits have taken place to ensure that a robust compli-ance system is in place. They are carried out by certified auditors and Focal Points from differ-ent professional back-grounds, who volunteer for this task. They en-sure that compliance is implemented and that the best interests of the BMS Q8 brand are pro-tected. This has instilled

a compliance culture throughout KPI and brought everyone closer together through sharing common goals and understanding.

The KPI BMS Corporate Leadership Team continues with a multi-standard approach through certified ISO auditors by implementing a comprehensive rollout plan for annual audits. The BMS philosophy provides a model for all KPI corporate and operating unit activities to sustain an integrated framework. It builds a shared understanding of best practice and a focus on continuous improvement.

KPI Head Office has demonstrated compliance with BMS corporate requirements by developing the rel-evant BMS addendum to KPI BMS Head Office sys-tems and operational documentation.

The journey continues towards a safer, happier and more efficient work environment which supports our commitment to our supply chain and customers. By ‘Improving Together’, we encourage a responsible and measured approach to transition.

President congratulates

Q8Spain wel-comed KPI President Nabil Bourisli and VP International Operations Azzam Al Mutawa for an intensive five-day visit to Spain and Portugal.

President and VP visit fast-growing business in Q8Spain

Ribbon cutting at Q8 site in Oporto

The delegation started in Q8Spain’s head office in Madrid, where the management team outlined their activities,

achievements and future goals. The presentations high-lighted the progress in implementing Q8’s growth strategy in Spain. Q8Spain has opened six Q8-owned and operated service stations and there is a rich pipeline of future projects to achieve its targets for organic growth, as well as further opportunities to expand through mergers and acquisitions.

Accompanied by representatives of Q8Spain’s management, the President and Vice President travelled to Andalusia to view some Q8 sites, including those at Sevilla-Montesierra and Fuengirola, which are part of the partnership with Burger King to develop Q8easy sites next to its restaurants.

The group attended a ceremony to celebrate the recent opening of a Q8 site in El Puerto de Santa Maria, an impor-tant city in southern Spain. The delegation was first received by the city’s Mayor, David de la Encina Ortega, in the Town Hall, a courtesy reserved for official visits. Speaking at the in-auguration ceremony the Mayor said: “It is a great honour to receive the President and Vice President. Your personal attendance demonstrates Q8’s commitment to our city and country and we welcome Kuwaiti investments and activities.”

Mr. Nabil Bourisli responded by saying: “We appreciate your warm hospitality as a sign of friendship, which we recipro-cate, and confirm Q8’s strong interest in investing in Spain to build a visible and long-term sustainable presence.”

Moving on to Portugal, the delegation met with Daniel Car-valho, chief executive of Q8 partner Vapo Atlantic, who pre-sented his company’s activities. The two delegations took part in the opening of a new Q8- branded station in Oporto, Portugal’s second city. The high-quality location, which gives Q8 high visibility on an important ring road around the city, and the excellent prospects for developing the Q8 brand in Portugal through the partner-ship with Vapo Atlantic were welcomed by the President.

For the final visit, the President and VP were joined by IDS management for the signing of an important new agree-ment with IDS customer Luis Simões, one of Portugal’s leading logistics and transpor-tation operators.

The five days ended in Lisbon where Mr. Nabil Bourisli and Mr. Azzam Al Mutawa attended KPI’s Excellence Recognition Awards.

The visit to Spain and Portugal was very successful and highly motivating for the Q8 teams as they pursue their ambitious targets for growth in the Iberian Peninsula.

Production team at Conqord Oil blending

plant, Italy

Meet the Team

Conqord Oil blending plant produces and markets an extensive range of lubricants

for industrial applications. The plant has been part of KPI since 1988 and is located 80 kilometres south of Milan.

A 21-strong production team carries out the day-to-day work of blending and packaging the

products. 18 operators work across eight produc-tion departments and are supported by three fore-men. The team is coordinated by Massimo Repetto, who has been with Conqord Oil for more than 25 years. Many of the team have worked together for at least ten years and this has created the strong team spirit that is essential to manage the opera-tion of such a complex plant.

Massimo Repetto says: “The winning factor of this plant is our flexibility to produce batches of all siz-es, both small and large. My team’s strong exper-tise also means that we can produce formulas that

could contain up to 25 different solid and liquid components.”

The plant has a maximum capacity of around 45,000 tons per year and its current annual pro-duction is approximately 33,000 tons. The eight departments create more than 2,000 different products, ranging from soluble and hydraulic oils to automotive, marine oils and greases, making this one of the most comprehensive blending plants in Europe.

The plant occupies an area of 22000 m2, half of which covered by warehouses, office buildings, laboratories and production departments. It has 142 storage tanks, with capacities ranging up to

250 m3; these are served by more than 100 pumps, which transfer the products through a pipeline net-work that extends to over 10 kilometres.

Raw materials delivered to the plant are stored in the tanks or in a warehouse with more than 1,000 pallet places. Additives are added to mixers both by piping and by manual operations. The process ends by packaging the products via automatic and semi-automatic packaging lines in sizes ranging from one litre to 1,000 litres; up to 120 one-litre bottles can be filled in one minute. Bulk products can also be loaded into tankers from the nine loading bays.

Roberto Ponzanibbio, tank farm operator, says: “I have worked in Conqord Oil for 24 years, including

18 years as a tank farm operator. There have been many changes over this time and this has led to a cohesive working group where co-operation ex-tends far beyond work and helps us achieve even the most challenging objectives.”

Massimo concludes: “The outstanding flexibility of Conqord Oil blending plant gives KPI a competitive advantage but also means that the operations are very complex and require a high level of expertise and detailed attention from the operators. Safety is always a top consideration for my team: coop-eration and involvement are the key factors for achieving results. I am very proud of their success in achieving this.”

Business 20, or B20, is the private sector´s voice of the G20 community. It addresses business leaders, in-

ternational organizations and civil society on how they should approach the global challenges defined by the G20 countries.

The B20 has historically worked to pro-vide practical perspectives to the G20 interests and generate new ideas in a variety of themes that include: em-ployment and education, trade and investment, financing growth, infra-structure and innovation, integrity & compliance, among others.

B20’s goal is the development of con-sensus based on concrete policy pro-posals from the private sector with the objective of generating more and better jobs, sustained growth and development. The process involves the imple-mentation of taskforces (TFs) of around 100 business rep-resentatives of the entire G20 and invited countries. After a 7-month period of discussions the B20 is ready to submit its policy recommendations to the G20 leaders.

In December 2017 the Association of Italian Companies (Confindustria) presented the candidacy of Cosimo Pacci-olla – Manager Litigation and Legal Advice of KUPIT - as member of the B20 “Integrity & compliance” task force (within the G20 2018 Summit activities). After a stringent selection process, the B20 Organization officially accepted Cosimo as a member of the B20 Team.

On his experience Cosimo said: “I would like to share with my colleagues and with the management of the Group my satisfaction for the achievement of this important participation in the B20 which represents a further sig-nificant goal for the reputation of KPI and its group of Companies and provides the opportunity to generate a professional growth for the members of legal and compli-

ance teams in KPI”.

The prevailing perspective of the meeting was political rather than strictly legal. However, keeping this in mind one can ap-preciate the efficacy of the proposals, their objectives from an international perspective and, above all, how these objec-

tives can be realized in the short/medium term (approximately five years).

It is important to emphasize the strong cooperation among the different task forces and other staff of the B20 group involved in the different matters of inter-est of the G20 (i.e. energy, environment, food). The outcome of this cooperation is a real interaction of the contents of each program.

What we learned from the B20 experi-ence can be summarized as follows:

•The essential importance of Compliance in the private sector which will become also an essential requirement to establish a working relationship with Public Entities and also to have market credibility.

•The need to implement high standards of ethics and integrity

•The need to implement a single and coordinated system of compliance instead of many different systems (anti-bribery, antitrust, whistleblowing, data protection)

•The necessity to rationalize the relationship between compliance and the defence of the company

We are sure that the outcome of this experience will help us to improve in KPI towards a better and more expert ap-proach to the compliance of laws and regulations and to achieve a successful prevention of illicit behaviors in an in-creasingly structured way consistent with the importance of our Company.

of B20 and its role of cooperation with the G20

Guided by the vision of its shareholders, the refinery has a strong ethos of continuous improvement to benefit the

environment and people. It is especially active in preventing and controlling the environmental impact of its activities and invests in projects to improve energy performance and cut emissions.

The latest project involved installing a large new column, pumps, piping and instruments to wash the refinery fuel gas. By adopting the most advanced technologies, this has substantially reduced emissions such as sulphur oxide and helped to lower CO2

emissions by removing the heavier frac-tion of gas molecules before they are used in the refinery fur-naces.

The improvements are also another important step forward in complying with the Integrated Environmental Authorisa-tion. This directive provides measures for emission reduction and was recently renewed for the refinery by the Ministry of Environment.

Implementation of the project took around two years from preparatory work, such as design and procurement, through to completion. The work was carried out without disrupting day-to-day refinery operations and while keeping all the oth-er units on stream.

Safety is an equally high priority for RAM and there were no incidents, injuries or lost-time accidents during the project, despite working in an environment that involves complex process equipment, high pressures and temperatures, and hazardous materials.

Roberto Grillo, Milazzo Refinery Managing Director comments: “This excellent outcome is yet another example of the outstanding profes-sionalism of our team at the refin-ery, and I congratulate you all.”

He adds: “It is also very pleasing to see so many women behind these great results, including our site man-ager, safety manager and a process engineer. This strength-ens the role of women in a predominantly male-dominated industry and is another example of RAM’s innovation and fostering a workplace where skills and talent are valued in everyone.”

Since August 2016, when a devastating earth-quake struck central Italy, Q8Italy has been making an important contribution to help communities affected by the disaster. As part of its long-term partner-

ship with children’s charity Francesca Rava NPH Foundation, it is lending its support to a challenging project to rebuild schools in areas destroyed by the earthquake.

Q8Italy is constantly committed to enhancing its corporate social responsibility activities and

maximises its financial impact by directly involv-ing large numbers of its customers. In this case, it is inviting StarQ8 members to donate their loyalty points to the Francesca Rava Foundation.

Since 2007, Q8Italy has supported the Foundation through a series of activities. The charity helps chil-dren living in difficult conditions in Italy and world-wide through projects aimed at improving their health, education and nutrition.

On 11th December 2018, the fourth new school built by the Foundation opened in the town of Pieve To-rina, which was almost destroyed by the 2016 earth-quake. The school is a kindergarten for 60 little chil-dren aged three to six. Beautiful and eco-friendly, it has been built with the most advanced natural anti-seismic materials to keep the children safe.

Local officials, donors and volunteers joined with children, parents and teachers to celebrate the opening of the new school. This important milestone

was also achieved thanks to the valuable support of many donors ranging from public institutions and sport to food, art and fashion businesses.

Speaking at the open-ing ceremony, Q8Italy Marketing Director Gh-erardo Bisi said: “Q8I-taly is proud to partner with the Francesca Rava Foundation in this pro-ject. We appreciate the Foundation’s constant dedication to protect-ing children and felt very strongly about support-ing the new school at Pieve Torina. In areas devastated by earthquake, rebuilding a school is an investment in children’s future and contributes to the wider society.”

The management team recently invited everyone in Q8North West Europe to attend a major event on 6th No-

vember 2018 to discuss The Next Wave long-term strategy and new approaches to working. Although smaller Talks to Staff are held in each Benelux country throughout the year, this was the first gathering of this type for the entire com-pany.

The ‘Talks to Staff and The Next Wave Happening’ was held in Breda, in the Netherlands, and at-tended by 230 employees, includ-ing the Global Cards Business team. Around 50 people who could not be present were able to follow events via livestream and send in questions.

Fadel Al-Faraj, Managing Director Q8North West Europe comments: “Transformation comes from within and we are harnessing the great ide-as and expertise of colleagues across the business as we implement our strategy. We want to create a culture of openness and involvement and events like this give us a great oppor-tunity to further this aim.”

The opening presentation summa-rised Q8North West Europe’s vision

behind The Next Wave strategy which centres on five build-ing blocks: building the business, electro-mobility, sustainable fuel, being customer centric and engaging and enabling em-ployees.

Special focus was given to the new HR strategy and how

Q8North West Europe will achieve its vision to be ‘digital, en-gaged and customer focused with a networked organisation culture of high-performing teams.’

Joachim Decock, HR Director Q8North West Europe explains: “ We are developing a ‘new way of working’ strategy which will maximise employees’ performance by empowering them through greater flexibility and mobility. Being a dynamic, modern company starts with our people and this approach will drive innovation, increase wellbeing and have a positive impact on our customers.”

Teambuilding and interaction were woven into the day. Peo-ple from different departments and countries joined together in teams to focus on the strategy through activities including an escape game. The fun even extended to the healthy lunch, where people enjoyed blending their own smoothie sustain-ably by pedalling hard on a bicycle!

Following the event, the next stage will be to launch Q8North West Europe’s strategy in early 2019 to stakeholders includ-ing customers, partners and the media. Behind the scenes, the commitment to engage employees in a fully networked and involved organisation continues.

Involving and engaging its employees, and creating an open, inclusive business is a fundamental part of Q8North West Europe’s strategy.

We are harnessing the great ideas and expertise of colleagues across the business.

E-mobility is a top priority in the KPI 2040 Strategy and, reflecting this, Q8North West Europe has set

becoming an e-mobility player as one of the five build-ing blocks in its long-term strategy, The Next Wave.

On 27th November 2018, Fadel Al Faraj, Managing Di-rector Q8North West Europe, was invited to give a pres-entation at the European Commission to an audience including officials of the Embassy of Kuwait and a high-level K-company delegation. His address highlighted the importance of e-mobility and described how he and his team are addressing the opportunities it presents.

He explains: “Our aim is to provide a service for all mo-torists, whatever form their vehicle takes, and to inte-grate the needs of electric vehicle customers fully into our strategy. There is substantial work underway: we are carrying out research to build an understanding of the e-mobility market, developing our customer propo-sition and setting up strategic partnerships.”

Q8North West Europe has set the target that 10% of electric cars in the Benelux will be recharged through an offering from Q8 by 2022. It has already installed fast chargers at 13 service stations across Belgium through a partnership with EDF Luminus and will install seven multiple charging points on Q8 highway sites with Ion-ity, a joint venture of car manufacturers which seeks to develop a network of ultra-fast chargers at 400 loca-tions across Europe by 2020. The first slow charger has been installed at a Q8easy station, and Q8North West Europe’s offices will also soon be equipped with charg-ers.

Further opportunities are being investigated such as installing more chargers at its own service stations, at Delhaize supermarkets and on third party sites.

Sven Dochez, Supply, Logistics, HSSE and Direct Sales Director, comments: “Q8 is well-placed to offer e-mo-bility services as an extension of our current offering. At Tango and Q8 stations, customers can expect a pleasant and secure experience when they recharge their cars, thanks to good forecourt lighting, CCTV and the presence of other customers. By September 2019 we will offer our customers a full solution to drive and charge electric cars.”

Sustainable development is integrated into the strategy and Q8North West Europe is committed to supporting the energy transition and acting as responsibly as possi-ble. Initiatives at service stations include installing solar panels; only buying and selling green electricity; using sustainable technologies such as LED lighting, and har-vesting and re-using rainwater.

Fadel Al-Faraj concludes: “The e-mobility market is de-veloping rapidly, and our major competitors are very active in this area. This sector has huge business poten-tial and we are determined to innovate and keep at the forefront of changing mobility.”

Nic has made a significant contribu-tion to JIG’s mission of continually improving the standards of aircraft refuelling safety.

The presentation took place at the JIG Members’ Techni-cal Forum in London in November 2018, and was made by Mark Newstead, JIG General Manager, who commented: “JIG is delighted to present Nic with this award. He has made a significant contribution to our mission of continu-ally improving the standards of aircraft refuelling safety and this is truly appreciated.”

Nic’s career in the oil industry spans 38 years, including 28 years in the aviation sector. He has made an important con-tribution to many industry committees at both JIG and the Energy Institute, the global professional body for the en-ergy sector. A notable example is the key role he played in developing and implementing breakaway hydrant pit cou-plers, which greatly improved the safety of hydrant-based aircraft refuelling. Nic has been Chairman of the Energy In-stitute’s Aviation Equipment Committee since 2003, and is internationally acknowledged as a world expert in this field. Nic currently leads Q8Aviation’s highly-skilled Technical Services team whose other members are also recognised as experts in the fuel aviation industry and serve on leading industry bodies. The team’s role is to ensure the highest standards of compliance for Q8Aviation’s airport refuelling operations and provide specialist technical services to a growing international client base.

Naser Ben Butain, General Manager Q8Aviation, concludes: “As one of the founding members of JIG, Q8Aviation is committed to providing substantial ongoing contribution to the organisation, which is recognised by this award. Salvatore Lucifora, President and Managing Direc-tor of Conqord Oil explains: “Our agent network has

always been one of the pillars on which the success of Conqord Oil is based. To meet the challenges of the market and achieve our business objectives we want-ed to find a new way to recognise and motivate our agents. We therefore set up this championship which rewards agents for achieving important goals and adds a healthy spirit of competition to everyday work.”

The incentive, which was launched in July 2018, sets dif-ferent targets for agents each month. The targets are aligned with Conqord Oil’s commercial objectives and give the opportunity, for example, to increase sales of specific products or to encourage agents to win new customers.

Agents with similar sales potential are grouped together and compete against each other. Points are awarded for achieving targets and each month the top performers win a prize; to date these have included VIP race tickets, watches and branded jackets.

Conqord Oil has developed inhouse a custom website where agents can view the monthly objectives and mes-sages, as well as check their points and competitive standing. Live results are published every month which

keeps the competition current and fresh.

There is also a final prize for those who sell the most over the year. When the championship ends on 31st March 2019, agents who have accumulated the high-est number of points will be whisked off to an exciting event in a secret destination.

Filippo Rossi, Agents Organisation Manager at Conqord Oil, comments: “This is the first year that we have run this new incentive and there appears to be a marked increase in motivation among agents, which we an-ticipate will have a direct impact on sales performance. Given the campaign’s likely success, we will hope to con-tinue it in future years.”

Unique incentiveto boost sales at Conqord Oil

Conqord Oil, the Italian arm of Q8Oils, has launched a new incentive campaign to boost

sales. Named the 1st Agents’ Championship, this im-aginative initiative is designed to reward outstand-ing performance and is unique in Italy. It is targeted at more than 200 active agents across Italy, who each sell Conqord Oil products across a defined geo-graphical area.

This championship adds a healthy spirit of competition to everyday work.
