OLD MEETS NEW

The restored Victorian splendour of the White House bedrooms connect

seamlessly to 56 new stylish contemporary rooms, nestling in the wooded

slopes of the Estate, effortless blending the old and the new. So if our White

House traditional rooms are not your thing, the cool minimalist modern

elegance of our extravagantly sized Hotel rooms surely will be.

The Cornwall Hotel offers Deluxe, Luxury and Superior bedrooms as well as

Junior Suites and one Suite. Many bedrooms with private balconies nestle

in the gently wooded slopes, behind the manor house, seamlessly joining

43 ACRE ESTATE

During the regeneration of the buildings and land between 2005 and 2010, many

areas around the development were restored to their former glory. There were some

fantastic new additions to the estate too.

A MEDIEVAL WAYSIDE CROSS, A VICTORIAN

VINERY, WALLED GARDEN AND A QUIRKY WINE

CELLAR HAVE ALL BEEN CONSERVED.

These additions contribute to the

diversity of this wonderful natural

environment which includes

dramatic oaks, sycamores, beech,

poplars and chestnuts, and is now

home to woodpeckers, ducks, geese,

owls and rare bats.

Protection and appreciation of

nature are at the very heart of The

Cornwall. The perfect balance of

parkland, woodland and ornamental

ponds stays true to the Victorian

belief of creating a tranquil haven

within a managed wilderness.

19

EstateWith the swimming pool, tennis courts, gymnasium, croquet lawn and long woodland

walks, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to work up an appetite at The Cornwall, and

at The Clearing Spa there are plenty of ways to unwind.

WITHIN THE 43-ACRE ESTATE

THERE IS A VICTORIAN

SUB-TROPICAL WALLED

GARDEN, ORNAMENTAL

LAKES AND NATURE TRAILS.

If ‘playing’ actually means rolling down banks, jumping

in puddles and hiding behind trees, you and your play-

mates won’t be disappointed.

Magical treasures such as the old Vinery and a medieval

wayside cross lie within the woodland.

CORNWALL

Within just five miles there are the major attractions such as The Eden Project

and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

WHEN YOU STAY AT THE CORNWALL HOTEL SPA

AND ESTATE, ALL OF CORNWALL IS WITHIN 45

MINUTES DRIVE OF THE ESTATE.

Located in the far west of Great

Britain on a peninsula tumbling

into the vast Atlantic ocean, almost

completely surrounded by the sea, a

magnificent coastline wraps around

Cornwall for almost 300 miles.

There are lots of things Cornwall is

loved for; the dramatic coastline

with its captivating fishing harbours;

the spectacular beaches and

the pounding surf that provide a

natural playground for a variety

of watersports; and of course the

Cornish pasty and cream teas.

Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver, Nathan Outlaw and Paul Ainsworth are among the many top chefs championing the county’s abundant seafood and fresh produce.

Cornwall has some world class landmarks, including St

Michael’s Mount, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Minack Theatre,

Land’s End, Tintagel Castle and the Eden Project; but also lots

of surprising new, different and fun things to do.

Cornwall has a tremendous history based on its Celtic roots;

its Celtic Cornish culture; the warmth and friendliness of the

people; and the Cornish language that can be seen in the
