Tracy heads up the Workmates & Daniel Owen Training Academy and is responsible for the training provision for all employees, from trainees to team leaders and managers. Her background as a recruitment consultant and team manager means that Tracy is extremely well-placed to understand the specific requirements of the industry and empathise with the unique challenges faced by recruitment employees. Tracy initially joined Workmates & Daniel Owen as a Training Consultant, and has recently been instrumental in setting up the Training Academy, which is designed to transform staff training to an individually tailored blend of internal and external development opportunities. Tracy’s key task as Head of Talent is to oversee and provide flexible training for the entire lifecycle of the recruitment consultant, from trainee to top biller, via the Training Academy. For more senior staff, she also places great emphasis on giving specialist support for the transition from biller to team manager.

The new Training Academy excels at providing all levels of staff with a dedicated resource for individual training and development. It is designed to enhance the career of every individual at Workmates & Daniel Owen. The exclusively branded Training Academy offers trainees, consultants, team leaders and managers a platform devoted solely to their career progression. More than just a department, the Academy acts as a hub to coordinate the extensive internal training and external resources available to all employees. The Academy’s specialist training suite is based in Reading. Here, up to ten consultants can be accommodated with phone and database simulations as well as live recruiting scenarios. While staff usually attend the training suite for focused training sessions, trainers from the Academy also visit individuals at their places of work where necessary. By carefully blending training with work on the desk, the Academy aims to give new recruits real exposure to their jobs while putting training into a relevant and usable context.
