The RBS 6000 is Kärcher's smallest commercial vehicle wash. It is operated manually and is ideal for regular cleaning of small fleets that consist of vehicles with uncomplicated bodies. This mobile unit is easily moved from one vehicle to the next for fast and economic washes.

Quality construction

The plant consists of a high quality welded aluminium con-struction. Its brush shaft is sup-ported at the top and bottom inflange-mounted bearings. Thebrush features chain drive withan automatic chain tensioner.

Simple and mobile: Washing vehicles with the RBS 6000

The Kärcher RBS 6000 single brush wash reduces the idletime of your vehicles and helps save money. It requires verylittle space, it's mobile and always immediately ready for use – either outdoors or indoors. Designed to wash the nose, tailand sides of buses and delivery vans, it is guided round thevehicle by the operator. Brush rotation assists the forwardmovement of the unit.

Control and safety handle

A control and safety handle is fitted on both sides of the RBS6000. Assisted by brush rotationagainst the vehicle, the operatorcan move the unit forwards inthe direction of brush rotationwith very little effort by applyingslight pressure. The brush comesto a standstill as soon as theoperator releases the handle.

Sturdy lightweight construction

The sturdy aluminium frame and control console simplifieshandling and is also very hardwearing.

Detergent metering

Detergent can be added asrequired via the metering pumpto optimise the washing results.

Stable and manoeuvrable

Two wheels and four castersguarantee good stability andeasy manoeuvrability of themachine along the vehicle.

Effective splash guard

The semicircular splash guardwith its soft rubber lips almosttouches the vehicle and thusprotects the operator fromsplash water.

Vertical contours

Sloping vehicle noses up to anangle of 10° can be washedwith the RBS 6000 thanks to the brush tilting facility with itsadjusting wheel.

The control system of the new generation of RB 6000 basic and comfort models enables them to be equipped with add-onkits at any time using simple "plug and play" without the needfor any setting up. Moreover, the control system allows speci-fic vehicle parameters to be programmed individually.

Guaranteed dry-run protection

The dry-run protection kit avoi-des damage to the vehicle orplant by preventing the plantfrom running with dry brushes.

Efficient high-pressure prewash

Vehicles are prewashed withhigh pressure to remove loosedirt.

Spraying and rinsing arches

Standard equipment includesbrush wetting and final rinsearch. Additional optional archescan be installed for the simplewash, applying detergent and for the high-pressure wash.

Antifreeze

An antifreeze attachment isavailable for the gantry’s inco-ming and outgoing freshwater,waste water and high-pressurewater lines. On the manual ver-sion the lines are blown clear bypressing a button, while theautomatic version features athermostatically activatedsystem.

Checking vehicle position

The position of the vehicle isdetermined by a light barrierwhich then activates the trafficlight.

Wheel guides recommended

Two wheel guides in the drive-inarea align the vehicle in the cor-rect position to avoid damage toeither the plant or vehicle.

Chassis wash

basic and comfort versions canbe equipped with an optionalchassis washing attachment. Itis supplied by the same pumpon the comfort version – provi-ding high pressure is installed.

Water treatment

Water recycling is indispensablethese days. Kärcher's recyclingplants comply with environmen-tal regulations (see page 14).

Kärcher'srange includes two different types of vehicle washes that cometo terms with all unusual vehicles up to a height of 4.5 metresand a width of 2.7 metres.

RHP 6300 combination wash

The RHP 6300 combined high-pressure and brush wash is idealfor mixed fleets. The fully auto-matic three-brush wash is usedprimarily for closed vehicles,while the high-pressure washingfacility is the perfect answer foropen vehicles and special-pur-pose bodies.

RHP 6000 high-pressure gantry wash

The RHP 6000 operates exclu-sively with high pressure and a contour-hugging roof beam. A water pressure of up to 80 barensures maximum cleaningpower.

Manual or automatic control

The RHP 6000 is available witheither manual or automatic control:• Manual control of the specific

areas to be washed per remotecontrol from the equipmentroom or from an optional cabthat can be mounted to thegantry.

• An electronic contour detec-ting system ensures that theroof nozzle beam is always atthe correct spraying distanceand angle.

Comprehensive safety precautions

A cable underneath the roofnozzle beam immediately shutsoff the plant in the event of con-tact with the body. A plasticguard between the nozzlesoffers additional protection.

Rotating roof nozzles

A horizontal nozzle beam islocated on the second gantrycolumn which cleans vehicles upto a height of 4.5 metres. Thebeams swivels up to 270° and isequipped with 6 rotating nozzles(angle of rotation 45°).

Full force high-pressurepumps

A maximum flushing action canbe achieved via the roof andside nozzle beams thanks to adelivery rate of 14,000 litres perhour and a pressure of up to80 bar.

Chassis wash

The powerful chassis wash canbe installed as an option to keepthe undersides of your vehiclesin spotless condition. It is supplied via the plant's high-pressure pump.

Optional cleaning power

Rotating side nozzles at bothsides of the gantry column ensu-re a particularly large-area clea-ning performance. The six rota-ting pencil jet nozzles at eitherside are fitted to a side beamwhich travels up and down auto-matically. This helps minimisepower and water consumptionwhile increasing washing effi-ciency at the same time.

The ARS/ARO sand filter system is designed for recycling thewashing water from vehicle washes in a semi-closed circuit.The washing water is treated and used again in all phases of the vehicle washing program. Fresh water is used only for clear rinsing and adding care products. The Kärcher sand filter systems avoid odour problems in the washing water.

Reclaiming washing water with the ARS and ARO sand filter systems

Separation

Water from the vehicle wash isfed via settlement tanks into apump storage reservoir. Excesswater flows through an overflowinto the drain, either directly orvia a separator – depending onlegal requirements. Alternatively,excess water can be routeddirectly from the washing waterstorage tank to the inspectionpit or separator.

Reclamation circuit

Water is pumped out of thestorage tank to a sand filterwhich retains suspended matter with a particle size larger than 20 µm. Water thathas been treated in this wayflows to a washing water tankand is then used for all phasesof the vehicle wash. In theevent of a low water level, freshwater is automatically added to the circuit.

Avoiding problems with odours

using the following independentsystems:• A germ-reducing agent and

ozone are used in the ARS and ARO to avoid unpleasantodours.

• Constant circulation of thewater in the recycling circuitprevents the formation ofbrackish water.

• Aeration of the waste water inthe pump storage reservoirprevents anaerobic conditions.

This acid concentrate lastingly removes typical bays and tiles 6.291-762 200 kg pollution such as lime, grease, deposits, soap residue and traces of rust. It has the RM 841 ASF patented asf properties, is easily degradable and contains no phosphates.

Wheel arches, chassis-mounted components or recesses incabs or trailers are difficult to reach with an automatic brushwash. For this reason it is advisable to clean such areasmanually. A stationary high-pressure cleaner is installed inthe equipment room for this purpose. Spray lances are posi-tioned at both sides of the washing bay and are suppliedwith high pressure from the central supply unit via the hosetrack.
