Key to technical table

GL&W - Can be ground level or wall mounted - ashpan is not separate.Plinth - Can be ground level or wall mounted. If wall mounted the fire would require a small plinth to support the ashpan which is not attached to the main fire.^ Spanish Basket may require a plinth depending on the depth of the opening.

NB: Most of the fires installed with the requirement of a ‘Plinth’ are primaily intended for ground level installation with a back panel and hearth. If raised some of the inner workings may become more visible than intended.

† Due to the sheer number of varying flue boxes and pre-cast flues it is not possible to advise on which fires are suitable until the existing fire has been removed. If the width at the rear of the pre-cast flue starter blocks is less than 300mm wide the minimum depth of the opening will be not less than 154mm.

> Balanced flue fires can be installed inset/semi-inset into the wall cavity with the 3” spacer, or flat against the wall with the 5” spacer.

Using a rebated surround is the simplest and most discrete way to create extra

space away from the wall if required. Rebated surrounds have a smaller return on

both legs and top panel, allowing the back panel to sit further forward.

All our fires are fitted with a flame safety device, which cuts off the gas in the unlikely event that the pilot flame is blown out, and our Oxysafe system, which monitors the level of oxygen in the room and cuts off the fire if there is insufficient oxygen present.

All gas appliances must be installed by a competent Gas safe Registered Installer and in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions and they should not be fitted directly onto a carpet or floor of combustible materials. Please note that certain parts of the appliance will become hot. A suitable guard is therefore recommended where the very young or infirm are concerned.
