    reading and sciencereasoning and offers astudent a test scorethat ranges from a lowof 14 to a high of 36.

    SAT and ACT scores

    What is the SAT?The ScholasticAssessment Test (formerly the ScholasticAchievement Test) is a three-hour test thatmeasures verbal and quantitative

    reasoning skills. Each section of the SAT isscored on a scale of 200 to 800, with 2400being the highest possible combined score.Colleges will use the students higher

    verbal, math and writing scores, even ifthey are from different test administrations.
