At around 6 months of age, babies
will start to smile and laugh because
they have developed enough
information about the world around
them to be surprised and delighted.
Did you know that laughter also facilitates learning? Sing and
tickle your baby, rhyme with your
toddler, and play dress up with
your preschooler to foster joy and
bonding and to hone coping
skills!

BOMO Patron Picks-Your Favorite Things!
Find out what BOMO patrons are reading! These picks are from Windshire.
The Mai Minute Sarah Josepha Hale (1788-1879), most people do not know that she was an
editor of many American magazines. They may also not know that she is best
known as the author of the popular nursery rhyme "Mary Had a Little Lamb".
But her greatest achievement was that she spent 3 decades writing about and
promoting a single dedicated day to celebrate our great nation. In 1862 she
finally persuaded Abraham Lincoln to declare Thanksgiving a national
holiday.
