BEACH UTILITIES DEPARTMENT STANDARD DETAILS" (LATEST EDITION) UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED IN THE PLANS.
SPECIFICS:
ITEM #1 MOBILIZATION INCLUDES THE PREPARATORY WORK AND OPERATIONS IN MOBILIZING FOR BEGINNING WORK ON THE PROJECT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THOSE OPERATIONS NECESSARY FOR THE
MOVEMENT OF PERSONNEL, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND INCIDENTALS TO THE PROJECT SITE, AND FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF FIELD OFFICES, STORAGE SHEDS, SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND FIRST AID SUPPLIES,
SANITARY AND OTHER FACILITIES, BONDS, PERMITS, AND FEES, CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES, PROJECT SIGNS, INSURANCE, AND ANY OTHER PRECONSTRUCTION EXPENSE NECESSARY FOR THE START OF
THE WORK. DEMOBILIZATION INCLUDES THOSE OPERATIONS, MATERIALS, LABOR, AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR CLEANUP OF STORAGE/LAYDOWN YARD, DEMOBILIZATION FROM THE SITE, AND
ASSOCIATED WORK TO CLOSE OUT THE PROJECT.
ITEM #2 PRECONSTRUCTION VIDEO INCLUDES PRECONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION VIA DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDING PLUS ALL DIGITAL COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS NECESSARY TO PICK UP DETAIL NOT EASILY VISIBLE AND
APPARENT ON THE VIDEO RECORDING.
ITEM #3 MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC INCLUDES THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF ANY NECESSARY DETOUR FACILITIES; THE PROVIDING OF NECESSARY FACILITIES FOR ACCESS TO RESIDENCES AND
BUSINESSES ALONG THE PROJECT; THE FURNISHING, INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL AND SAFETY DEVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING FLASHING STROBE LIGHTS ON ALL
EQUIPMENT; DAILY INSPECTIONS OF THE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (INCLUDING NIGHTTIME WORK OR INSPECTIONS); REPLACEMENT OF ALL EQUIPMENT AND DEVICES FOUND NOT TO BE CONFORMING WITH
APPROVED STANDARDS DURING THE INSPECTION; THE CONTROL OF DUST, MUD AND ANY OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SAFE AND EXPEDITIOUS MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC AS MAY BE CALLED FOR ON
THE PLANS. THE TERM "MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC” SHALL INCLUDE ALL SUCH FACILITIES, DEVICES, AND OPERATIONS AS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE SAFETY AND CONVENIENCE OF THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS FOR
MINIMIZING PUBLIC NUISANCE; ALL AS REQUIRED BY THE ENGINEER AND THE OWNER. THIS WORK SHALL ALSO CONSIST OF THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING PAVEMENT MARKINGS AS
REQUIRED FOR EITHER ROADWAY OPEN CUTS OR THAT ARE REMOVED IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT TRAFFIC CONTROL, TEMPORARY SIGNS, AND THE REMOVAL, REPLACEMENT OR RELOCATION OF EXISTING
SIGNS IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT TRAFFIC CONTROL. THIS ITEM ALSO INCLUDES ANY ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY TO THE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES UNDER EMERGENCY CONDITIONS.
ITEM #4 SITE LAYOUT/SURVEYING INCLUDES LOCATING EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAYS, EXISTING ITEMS TO REMAIN AND/OR BE REMOVED AND STAKING OF PROPOSED STRUCTURES AND PIPING ALIGNMENT AS
NECESSARY TO PROPERLY CONSTRUCT THE PROJECT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS.
ITEM #5 EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL INCLUDES ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION CONTROL PLAN,
INCLUDING MONITORING, INSPECTING, AND REPORTING, PROVIDING EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES, PREPARING AND FILING EPA NPDES NOI AND NOT FORMS, AND PROVIDING REQUIRED
CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATIONS.
ITEM #6 PROJECT RECORD DRAWINGS INCLUDES THE PREPARATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AS-BUILT DATA ON A SET OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS TO BE AVAILABLE ON-SITE AS SPECIFIED IN SECTIONS 01300 AND
01750 AND FINAL PREPARATION OF RECORD DRAWING DOCUMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 01750.
ITEM #7 CONSTRUCT NEW SUBMERSIBLE LIFT STATION INCLUDES FURNISHING ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW DUPLEX SUBMERSIBLE LIFT STATION AND
WETWELL, ELECTRICAL AND CONTROLS, PIPING, FITTINGS, VALVES, VALVE VAULT, BYPASS PUMP CONNECTION AND APPURTENANCES, SITE WORK INCLUDING DEWATERING, SHEETING, SHORING, BRACING,
EXCAVATION, BACKFILL, GRADING AND SODDING AND OTHER WORK WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE SITE AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. WORK INCLUDED IN THIS PAY ITEM INCLUDES DISCHARGE PIPING THROUGH
