Baruva Beach near Srikakulam is one

of the oldest and most beautiful beaches in

Andhra Pradesh. AP Tourism, with its

Kotilingeshwara Swamy Temple and the old

lighthouse are nearby tourist attractions.

Kalingapatnam Beach is close to the coastal town of

Srikakulam. An incredibly scenic spot, the beach also

houses a lighthouse constructed by the British, which

offers a great view of the Vamsadhara river joining

trip and is famous for its sea food specialties.

The temple and beach town of Antarvedi

is a short drive from Dindi, in the East

Godavari District. A launch pad allows

visitors to land on the small island at the

other side of the Godavari River.

The natural beauty of Suryalanka beach and its proximity to Bapatla Town makes

it a regular haunt during the weekends, and on some auspicious days, for a dip

in the sea. The beach is relatively flat with a gradual slope and a wide shore.

Ramayapatam is a small fishing village located on

the coast of the Bay of Bengal, that once housed an

old church which served as a landmark for ships

cruising off the coast. A lighthouse offers a

panoramic view of this gorgeous stretch of beach.

P E R U PA L E MB E A C HThe Perupalem Beach is located at a distance

of 20 km from the town of Narasapur in the

West Godavari District. The beach is famous

for its scenic beauty and its natural bay. The

waters of the beach are shallow and safe for

tourists to swim in. The way to the beach is

lined with paddy fields and coconut trees on

both sides of the road.

Bheemunipatnam or “Bheemli” is a sleepy fishing village near

Vizag, and a former Dutch settlement. Bheemli’s untouched

beaches are blessed with unending expanses of golden sand,

and beautiful deep blue waters. The coastline is bordered by

tall swaying palms that add to the beauty of the place

immensely.

Yarada Beach is situated 15 km from

Visakhapatnam, on the coast of the

Bay of Bengal. It is a quiet beach, ideal for

relaxing by the waves and sipping on cool

coconut water from the palms nearby.

The Dolphin’s Nose rockland and

lighthouse are nearby tourist attractions.

R A M A K R I S H N AB E A C HRamakrishna Beach gets its name from the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram nearby.

Situated almost in the heart of Vizag, it ’s the local favourite seaside spot.

Museums, temples and several small eateries are located along the beach. The

Matsyadarshini Aquarium and the Submarine Museum are major tourist

attractions in the area.

Kakinada Beach is located on Uppada

Road near Kakinada. The wide shore, clear

water, the silver sands and the golden sun

attracts many a tourist to this beach. A

beautiful park also adds to its

attractiveness. It is an excellent place for

the city dwellers to enjoy the pure and

fresh sea breeze, and some sunbathing.

Colourful boats lining the beachfront, fishermen tending to their nets,

birds swooping down to pick up fish and children playing beach games are

all common sights at this serene, picturesque stretch of beach. Water and

beach sports like jet skiing and volleyball make this beach resort a big

favourite among tourists who like a spot of activity.
