• Concerns with liability continue to grow• Responsibilities being increasingly downloaded
to service organizations• Governance accountabilities increasing• Fund development increasingly important
How Have Volunteers Changed
• Volunteers want more specific experiences
• Volunteers don’t want to fund-raise
• Volunteers want to make a contribution
• Volunteers don’t want to go to meetings
• Volunteers will not work with toxic people or in toxic environments
