ACT 1, SCENE 1 -- RYAN:

Ryan- While waiting to board the air plane he calls his friend Roy to ask him to check his mail for him while he is away for the weekend. Ryan- calls his mother to inform her that he is leaving to Deron’s 21st birthday party in Vegas. Ryan’s mother- tells him to be careful and asks him to call her when he gets there to know he arrived safely. Ryan- walking through the Delta plane trying to find his seat and people are getting settled in their seats. He gets to his seat and a big guy is putting his bag away where he is suppose to sit. The man realizes hes holding him up and says:Beau- Sorry man I’m in your way is this your seat?Ryan- No prob yea I’m in 22 ABeau-I’m 22B hahaha my name is Beau (puts his hand out to shake)Ryan-Nice to meet you Beau I’m RyanBeau- Nice to meet you Ryan these are my friends behind us Chuck and SandyChuck- How’s it goin?Sandy- Hey ( in a very quiet tone kind of looking down)Chuck- Don’t mind Sandy’s awkwardness right now she’s terrified of flying and is a little drunk from a late night last nightSandy- shut your mouth Chuck! ACT 1, SCENE 1 – RYAN (Continued):

Ryan- ya I’ve flown it before it’s really short and I’m feeling lucky for Vegas so this plane is not going down in flames.Chuck- nice shades Ryan! Perfect to wear at the tables in Vegas.Ryan- Thanks! Yea this is a really special trip and so I figured I should look like a high roller walking around the casinos hahaBeau- What is taking you out to Sin City?Ryan- It’s my cousins 21st birthday and I don’t get to see that side of my family too much so we are all meeting up in Vegas to celebrate.Chuck- 21st birthdays in Vegas are amazing and always a drunkfest hahaRyan- Hahaha Yea I’m pretty excited to get my drink on and go to the clubs and win some money at the tables. What are you all going to Vegas for?Beau- We are originally from Vegas but moved to Los Angeles with inspirations to become a director(pointing to himself), a writer(pointing to Chuck) and an actress(pointing back to Sandy) so we are taking a break from our hectic lives to release some stress in the casinos, clubs, and hanging out with old friends.Ryan- That’s cool since you guys grew up there you know all the hot clubs? Beau- Yea we have our favorite places to go to and have a good time.Pilot- starts talking over the intercom letting the passengers know they are about to take off.

ACT 1, SCENE 2 -- BILLY:

SCENE 1 FOR OUR CHARACTER BILLYBilly starts out waking up one morning and comes to the realization that he needs to make

some money. Fast. He is almost out of his monthly check from the government, so he will take what money he has left to Las Vegas in order to try to win some cash and fulfill his gambling desires at the same time. He then tells his son, Johnny, that he will be away this weekend. Johnny does not bother to ask why he is leaving or where he is going. Next, Billy gathers an enormous amount of Budweiser cans around his property, bags them, and throws them in the back of his 1989 GMC sierra truck. He then returns inside and counts that he has exactly 250 dollars in cash left to his name, takes the money, and drives off.

Subsequently, Billy is then seen pulling into Joe’s recycling. It takes him several minutes to unload his truck, and carry all those beer cans to the scale. When he does finally get to the scale, the man who works it gives Billy an odd look. It is not like he sees one middle aged man come in everyday with a mountain of beer cans. After being weighed, Billy receives a total of 56 dollars for all of his cans. He drives across the street while smoking his last cigarette to the local gas station to get fuel for the trip.

At this point, Billy is about half way to Las Vegas. However, there is a problem. Billy was up late last night and is starting to get extremely tired while driving on the road alone. He sees a sign for a gas station 8 miles ahead.

Billy is then seen pulling into this gas station.The next shot shows Billy about a hundred yards away from the gas station, back on the road

with a twelve pack of Miller High Life and a pack of his favorite Winston cigarettes on his way to Las Vegas.

ACT 1, SCENE 3 -- AISLIN:

Rolls out of bed Saturday morning and gets dressed. Gets in her BMW on her way to Sax 5th Ave. to get a new outfit for the weekend after she drops her daughter off at “dads.” She’s blasting Katy Perry when she gets a text message from her DJ friend/client (Ludacris). He tells her he took the liberty of entering her in a Jackpot at the PALMS hotel since he’s doing a show there in the Penthouse Playboy Suite anyways and invites her. She agrees.

ACT 1, SCENE 4 -- AVA:

Ava Jacobson escapes the religious city of Logan, Utah to Sin city Las Vegas on a cold snowy

winter day. It was an early Friday morning when she decided to make her dreams a reality. Her

parents are begging her not to go but she knows this is the only way to become a professional

dancer. So she hits the road in her charcoal grey Toyota Corolla. The adventure begins. Late last

night before her spontaneous journey she had spoke to a fellow aspiring dancer whom she had met

on Facebook. It was then she had found that a possible job opportunity might be made possible, it’s

not the best but it will be enough to keep her on her feet for a while. She faces the trial and

tribulations of the road but she wouldn’t trade it for the world. The rest of her life was officially

beginning.

ACT 1, SCENE 5 – JOHNNY:

Johnny Oxford is on Facebook and sees a post from his friend--who is in a band that is currently on tour--which says that they will be in Las Vegas on October 20, 2010 and that they have free rooms for anyone who wants to come see them live. “The Ox” has not seen his friend in a few years and takes him up on this offer for a free stay in Las Vegas, the only problem is that he has to pay for transportation from San Francisco to Las Vegas—The Ox pulls out this new iPhone and looks up ticket prices with his travel app and sees that the cheapest way to get to Las Vegas, and most eco-friendly, is to take a bus from San Francisco to Las Vegas for $80.00 round trip and will take about 12 hours one way.

ACT 1, SCENE 6 – MR REI:

Rei is a successful business owner in Tokyo, and has been convinced to pursue ownership of a restaurant in America. To convey wonderful Japanese foods to American people is one of his dreams. A former classmate of his owns a dry cleaning business in Las Vegas, and has encouraged Rei that there is money to be made here. Weary and skeptical, he is not excited about being out of his element, but has great faith in his friend. It will take a lot for him to make the investment, but he is not completely against the idea. Rei is not in Las Vegas for entertainment. He did not have to argue with his family about them staying home. They dropped him off at the airport and respectfully said goodbye. He had a couple beers during the flight and kept to himself while reading and researching his investment opportunities.

ACT 2 – THE JACKPOT NOTICE: Believing that Dreams Can Come True

Sometimes a chance occasion can overturn all of the careful planning in individual lives. Chance can intervene through a deck of cards, the roll of dice, a spin of the wheel, or a simply sweepstakes drawing for a $10MM JACKPOT.

The Palms Hotel in Las Vegas launched a “Dream of Your Life Sweepstakes” promotional campaign to attract a cross section of common American citizens to the city of dreams – Las Vegas. The six names selected from a database of Las Vegas tourists and visitors are unaware of what will soon become a life changing event. Messages have been sent to Ryan, Larry, Aislin, Ava, Johnny, and Rei notifying them of a midnight JACKPOT drawing tomorrow, Friday on the roof of the Palms Hotel. Before the drawing, however, the six individuals must immediately attend a meeting being held in the penthouse suite of the Palms Hotel to validate their identity and sign agreements regarding their intended use of the $10MM prize.

ACT 2, SCENE 1 – THE JACKPOT NOTICE (Continued):

RYAN BILLY AISLIN AVA JOHNNY REIRyan is walking through the airport and scrolling through his blackberry looking at emails when he comes across the email from Palms Hotel and Casino letting him know he has been picked as a finalist in a sweepstakes for a 10 million dollar jackpot. He stops walking and starts yelling pumped he could be a multi millionaire tonight. He immediately calls his cousin Deron to let him know about his luck and tells him

- Billy gets a call on his to-go phone- does not believe it since it is too good to be true- he still has 5 hours before he has to be at the palms - starts playing the slots in order to get free drinks- after the waitress refuses to get him more to drink he takes a cab to the palms (thinking he might get more alcohol over there since he is in the sweepstake)- enters Palms and sees Aislin sitting at the bar; thinks she is out of his

-Arrives at the Palms in a yellow corvette with DJ Ludacris

-Aislin and DJ Ludacris proceed into the hotel and casino where they head straight to the bar, awaiting the announcement of the Jackpot Winner.

-Aislin orders a glass of Shafer Vineyards 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon and DJ orders an Adios.

-Some time passes and they have a deep conversation,

Ava has been driving all night. She gets into town and is completely taken back by the sight of Vegas. She stops by her friends house, Missy, and checks in with her. They sit and chat and then go unload the car. Ava gets a text message saying that she has an opportunity to win $10mm and needs to go to The Palms for some paperwork.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Johnny is informed by his friends in the band that he is entered into the jackpot drawing. Johnny, being pessimistic, doesn’t like the idea but isn’t against checking out the whole event.He goes to the area where the drawing will be held and orders a drink, while complaining about the whole jackpot drawing and is

The sweepstakes has only two requirements:1st you must explain what you would do with the $10MM if you win, and2nd you must express any concerns you have regarding the intended uses for the $10MM expressed by the other 5 participants.
