Where we love God, love each other, and reach out to people
The perfect church for people who aren’t.
QR CODE
You may be wondering what that strange image is on the top of this page and on church publica-tions. Known in the technology world as a QR Code, this image is designed for people who use a Smartphone. A Smartphone can quickly scan this image off of a printed page and then be taken directly to our church website, where we keep information posted about church activities, as well as sermons, bellwethers, photos, etc. This is just another tool we are seeking to use to help get the word out to our community about the ministry of First Presbyterian Church.
2013 PEACEMAKING OFFERING First Presbyterian will be receiving our Peacemaking
offering donations this coming September. The
Peacemaking Offering was created in 1980 to support
the efforts of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to live
out a deeper commitment to peacemaking as part of
our faithfulness to God. This year First Presbyterian’s
donations will go towards supporting the Jonah, Jail
Ministry, and the Presbytery. JONAH is a grassroots
faith-based organization committed to building leader-
ship and building community in the Chippewa Valley
since 2007 in order to address the root systemic
causes of poverty and injustice. Jail Ministry works
one on one with individuals on bible study, church in-
volvement, anger management, and grief care.
Please do what you can to help support these great
causes. Thank you.

The Fellowship Committee would like to thank everyone who helped with the church picnic. We had a
great group of people who came early &helped take out tables and chairs. We had volunteers who helped
us bring the food up from the basement. We'd like to thank the Deacons and everyone who helped with
clean-up. We'd like to thank the Nielsen's for bringing all the lawn games and Lisa Nielsen for taking
pictures and last, but not least, Ed Wells and Bill Halgren for sharing their musical talents again this year.
The picnic wouldn't be the same without your music. We are thankful for all the volunteers at First
Presbyterian Church. Thank you to everyone who made the picnic the success it was.

A big thanks to all those who made VBS something special! We had over 45 children participate —most of them not affiliated with 1st Pres! Way to reach out and love your neighbor! Also a big thanks to those who participated in the Maycol Coffee House Fundraiser! We had a ton of fun and were able to exceed our goal of sponsoring Maycol for the coming year!
CLN hopes that everyone would take part in at least one Faith Formation opportunity this fall. Do you have an idea for a small group or class? Speak with Sara Gannon, Dan Mundt, Hope Naples or Chris Miller.
