From The President: Spring is in the air. Although many parts of the country are still experiencing snow here in Southern California we are experiencing mild and pleasant weather. This is the time that many start preparing for camping and traveling. Are you planning to camp this spring and summer? By the time this goes to press the Exodus Chapter will have had their February Rally in Quartzsite AZ. April 26-30 th the Emmanuel Chapter will meet in Menifee CA. Look to the newsletter and the Campers for Christ Website www.campers4christ.org for updates on other Chapters planning rallies later this year. Maybe you are thinking why isn’t there a rally in my area? Probably because no one has offered to lead a group in that area. Maybe you would like to be one of those people. I encourage you to reach out to others in your area to see if you can get a group together. If not sure who to contact then get ahold of us here at CFC and we can put you in touch with other interested parties. We have had much interest over the last few months inquiring about membership and joining as new members. Growth is a great thing but if there are no activities then renewals will be highly unlikely. So what is needed to start a rally? Just a group of people that want to go camping. Taking it to the next level a Chapter can be reactivated or a new one started by simply having 4 individuals willing to serve as Chapter officers. Perhaps that’s you. If so, again, please contact us and we will put you in touch with others interested in activity. Campgrounds are filled with people searching for truth and light. We all have a call to share the Gospel. What better way then while we are enjoying one of our favorite past times. May this camping season bring you joy, happiness and satisfaction as you Glorify the Lord in your travels. Be Blessed Camping in the Shadow of the Cross. Chaplain’s Corner:

Blessing and greetings in the most high name of Jesus Christ!

Campers… Are you on The Right Path of Life?

Jeremiah 10:23-24 23 I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself, Nor is it in

a man who walks to direct his steps.

24 Correct me, OLORD, but with justice; Not with Your anger, or You will bring me

to nothing.

Life is like an untraveled trail with complex twists and turns. Appealing activities can be detours that lead to the quicksand of sin. And engaging philosophies may form side paths that end up in a mire of muddled thinking. Even the best route isn’t all sun-dappled meadows and quiet riverside lanes. We may at times have to journey over hard terrain or shadowed valleys. The only way to be sure we’re walking right is to follow one who knows the way perfectly.

God is the perfect, full-service Guide. No one can go wrong by keeping to the pathways He selects. Consider that He lovingly and intentionally created you for this time and this place. The Lord watches over your steps because He desires to see your purpose fulfilled and His plan come to fruition through you (Prov. 3:5-6 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.). Therefore, He promises to counsel those who follow Him (Ps. 25:12 Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.). When God warns His children away from a tempting sidetrack, it is because He foresees the dangers that lurk on that road.

There’s a correlation between ignoring God’s guidance and ending up in trouble: the one who stumbles off course has trusted his own “sense of direction”--his emotions, desires, or personal version of morality. He’s been pursuing what feels good or looks right instead of seeking the Lord’s will.

God has mapped out the path before you. He is aware of every obstacle and miry pit, and He knows exactly which sidetracks will tempt you. What’s more, He has committed to walk beside you as a Guide and Comforter so that you never face the twists and turns of this life alone.

Until we meet again, KEEP LOOKING UP!

In His service, Senior Chaplain, CFC, Sr. Pastor Dusty Guy

IN MEMORY OF...

Campers for Christ Ministries extends condolences to the families of the following CFC members who

have departed earth and entered their Heavenly Home, to spend Eternity with Jesus. Our hearts and

prayers are with the families as they adjust to the loss of their loved one.

May the love and peace of God comfort and strengthen you at this time.

Jerry Branam – California - January 22, 2018

Jerry was a 3 time cancer survivor, a heart attack and stroke victim. Had a great attitude till the end and I am told by those who were with him that he was ready to meet Jesus. Jerry was a long time member of CFC and a loyal Emmanuel chapter member who was very supportive of the group and of Jody and my leadership. A true brother in Christ who will be long remembered by the Judkins. Lynn is doing well as she battles somewhat successfully with her latest cancer battle. Please keep her and Jerry's daughters in prayer.

Note to Regional Vice Presidents and Chapter Presidents:

Please notify International Editor with notifications of any deaths of members from your areas. This

information is falling between the cracks so we need to close the holes. Thanks for your assistance

in this important activity.

**NEWS & NOTICES FOR ALL**

If anyone sends an email to [email protected] YOU will get a copy. If you don’t want them, let

me know. There is a mailing list program on the website that you can use to send emails to everyone we

have an email address for at once. It is not too difficult to use. If you would like to take advantage of that,

let me know, I can give you a login and train you online in about 15 minutes.

As CFC moves ahead more and more into the digital age, developing and using online resources will become

more important. We are 5 to 10 years behind the times. Please pray we can figure out how to connect to a

new generation of CFC members who will come to us online if and when we open that gate as well as those

we already have and those we will bring in from just going around. I think CFC is at a crossroads where we

will either find ways to grow or CFC will slowly die of old age! Richard & June Bartz

Hello friends, we currently have a member owned business that would like to put up a poster to promote

Campers for Christ in their business. We are looking for some help designing this poster. Do you have

experience in this area or some ideas. If so please contact me so we can discuss some criteria. Also if

you have a business that you would like a poster for please let me know. Be blessed Camping in the

Shadow of the Cross. Robb Judkins, President Campers for Christ Ministries, 951-520-5100,

Hello. I'm a new RV'er and interested in traveling w/other Christians to help spread 'His Word'. Is there a Florida affiliation or local area chapter somewhere closer to me than Arizona or California? Thank you for any helpful information you can send my way… Blessings

Currently our Southeastern chapter is inactive. We are always looking for new people who would be willing to start it up again. Almost no cost involved to do so, just 4 willing Christian folks who love the Lord, like to travel-camping style-and can serve as chapter Pres, VP, Sect'y, Treas. for a 2 yr. period. If interested please reply to me at above email address or to our Nat'l president, Robb Judkins: [email protected], Thank you for your inquiry. Betty Bergfalk, Nat'l secretary

I occasionally get the paper Campground Witness Newsletters returned to me as undeliverable due to an address change that we don’t have. Please let your chapter members know if there has been a change in address that they notify both the webmaster and the editor of the newsletter. Thanks, Leesa Verdot, Editor CGW

WE BELIEVE: 1. The Bible to be the inspired Word of God, authoritative and infallible in all aspects for living a holy and righteous life, the purpose of our creation. 2. There is one God eternal, manifested in the persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3. In the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, in His atoning sacrifice through His blood, ascension and return for His Bride, the Church. 4. That regeneration and conversion through faith in Jesus Christ is essential for salvation of a lost humanity 5. In the bodily resurrection at the last day.

OUR AIMS:

1. To provide a means for Christian campers to get together for fellowship at local and national levels.

2. To provide a way for recognition of Christians on the road or while camping.

3. To encourage a witness to others, while camping, regarding the claims of Jesus Christ, the club

crest being an effective opener when asked to explain its purpose.

4. To provide a Chaplain service to campers if requested, especially to those who have no church
