Overview

Safety Assessment Program

SAP is intended to help local governments perform

facility safety evaluations as quickly as possible.

SAP Capabilities

– Managed by CalEMA – Multi-Hazard

Training Available

• Evaluator – for civil engineers,

architects, and building inspectors

(~7,000)

• Coordinator – for building officials

and emergency managers (~350)

• Train-the-Trainer – to train evaluators

to become official trainers (~230)

• CA Dept. of General Services – Div. of the State Architect (DSA), Caltrans, and the Department of Water Resources are organized for deployment.
