Dear Penn Wynne Parents, Don’t know what to get that amazing teacher in your child’s life? How about adding a beautiful butterfly in their honor? In an effort to beautify the school, the 5 th grade has started a fundraiser called: THE BUTTERFLY WALL As you may have noticed, the wall has already started beautifying the cafetorium virtually overnight. Due to high demand and excitement for this project, we have decided to continue this beautification with ongoing sales of the butterflies to the end of the year. Our goal is to one day see the butterflies on every wall of the cafetorium. Now wouldn’t THAT be a BEAUTIFUL site! On the reverse side you will find a BUTTERFLY WALL form. Here’s some information to help you understand a little bit more about this wonderful project: * Butterflies are $2/each or 3 for $5 (at this time, we are only accepting cash donations). * This is an absolutely wonderful way to honor someone you know in the community, a family member, a teacher or a staff member. * Butterflies are NOT individually identified (for a variety of reasons) so you, your child, your child’s teacher…whomever you are honoring can decide for themselves which one is theirs. * All proceeds benefit the 5 th grade, however 10% of sales will go to Lucy Belle’s Rainbow. Lucy Belle’s Rainbow holds a special place in our 5 th graders’ hearts. She was the sister of a current 5 th grader and was also a Penn Wynne alum. This wonderful initiative provides art supplies and art therapy support to children undergoing cancer treatment. Lucy Belle was an art lover herself who we know would support this beautification project. On behalf of the Butterfly Wall Committee and your 2017-18 Penn Wynne 5 th graders, we THANK YOU and look forward to watching our butterflies FLY OFF THE WALLs in the coming months!
