Abstract Nowadays we are facing a serious social problem which receives the name of bullying, school, place where our future citizens that will determine its future are educated, takes the lead in the social and cultural development of the individual. The responsibility of ensuring a good future for our young people, is a basic necessity for society and this duty is primarily conducted by the State. The goal of the present research is to determinate the frequency of bullying among schoolchildren in the educational institutions "Gran Unidad Mariano Melgar" and " “Independencia Americana ",two of the most representative educational institutions of Arequipa. The study embraces the entire population on the first high school year, in our country the first of secondary education, through the use of a tab of data collection, aiming the determinations of currents attitudes of bullying between schoolmates and the bullying’s modalities. The results obtained showed a frequency of 32.79% of bullying in all its ways; nevertheless the percentages obtained independently by intimidation suffered by each individual modality are: lunch taking 15.3 % , skin color racism (19.3%) ; provenance mocks (7.1%),Speaking way (15.4%); body building (20.76%); taunts by height (15.4%); spitting (3.8%); “gay" calling (3.83%); ciberbullying(8.2%); lack of modern devices (6.1%); physical aggression (8.2%) , threaten(10.38%) compulsion (5.46%), others (12.57%). The sort criteria of our research are observational, retrospective and cross-sectional according to Altman The current research study is descriptive because characteristics of variables in cross-sectional study are described owing to its developed in a specific moment

Abstract

We have reached for conclusion that bullying exists in these educational institutions: "Great unit school Mariano Melgar" and "American Revolutionary".
