EditorialHow fast time flies. It seems like only a moment ago we celebrated the huge success of the first World Congress and already the second one is just around the corner! I am looking forward to the day together in Munich.

Profilingvalues will gather international managers for the second time on Friday, September 14, 2012 in Munich at the world congress. “The New Mathematics of Management – Values as Measurable Keys to Success” is the theme of this year’s meeting. 15 personalities from business and academia will elaborate on a variety of applications of profilingvalues. “The 2nd World Congress will closely follow the success of the first event last year,” ensures Dr. Uli Vogel.
From “Neurobiology for Managers” via brand diagnostics to firsthand reports and application tips, every attendee will find their own personal points of interest in the program. “Profilingvalues is the only method which measures the ‘inner values’. We want to acquaint our partners and customers with the international success of scientifically based value diagnostics,” says Uli Vogel as he eagerly awaits the 2nd World Congress in Munich.

“Modern Talent Management” dubbed Frank Kellenberg, Head of Talent Management and Organizational Development at Novartis, is one of the biggest challenges for global corporations. This goal is achieved by providing excellent guidance and support for young people. “It‘s primarily about bringing different needs in line,” says Kellenberg in describing the basic idea. The central task of his team is to identify and prioritize the different preferences of the employees. The requirements of Novartis are compared with the results and used for creating an individualdevelopment plan. Starting as a trainee with inservice training, new
employees at Novartis are given the chance to quickly become young lead ers. The aim is to fill all leader ship positions with managers from their
own ranks. Novartis posted a turnover of more than 58 billion USD in 2010. With the help of profilingvalues
entirely new development opportunities will be opened up for nearly 125,000 employees.

“The right trainee for the right company” is the motto of a new pilot project in the Austria’s most eastern state, Burgenland. Many young people come to the conclusion after one or two years that they have chosen the wrong training. To avoid this dilemma testing based on profilingvalues has been introduced in cooperation with industry and the state of Burgenland for prospective trainees. Toni Harrer, Management Consultant, recommended the method for this project and has adapted it. He has been a certified partner of profilingvalues since 2009.
