This goal is achieved by providing excellent guidance and support for young people. “It‘s pri- marily about bringing different needs in line,” says Kellenberg in describing the basic idea. The central task of his team is to identify and prioritize the different preferences of the em- ployees. The requirements of Novartis are compared with the results and used for creating an individual development plan. Starting as a trainee with in-service training, new employees at Novartis are given the chance to quickly become young leaders. The aim is to fill all leadership po- sitions with ma- nagers from their own ranks. Novartis posted a turno- ver of more than 58 billion USD in 2010. “The right trainee for the right company” is the motto of a new pilot project in the Austria’s most eastern state, Burgenland. Many young people come to the conclusion after one or two years that they have chosen the wrong training. To avoid this dilemma testing based on profiling­values has been introduced in cooperation with industry and the state of Burgenland for prospective trainees. Toni Harrer, Management Consultant, recommended the method for this project and has adapted it. He has been a certified partner of profilingvalues since 2009.
