We will provide a drink and biscuit for students at break time but if your child usually gets hungry during the day, they are welcome to bring a more substantial snack to eat during break. Students will follow a varied timetable which will give them an opportunity to sample some of the subjects they will study with us from September. Students will also sit their Access Reading Test, there is no revision to do for this test and no reason for your child to feel anxious. This test is to help with planning for the Year 7 curriculum. If you have given consent for your son/daughter to have their fingerprints scanned, we will be scanning these ready for September where they will be used in the library and canteen. Lunch can be either a packed lunch or school meal which can be purchased from the school canteen at a cost of £2.30 for a main meal or there are various other options available as shown on the attached sample menu. If your child usually receives a free school meal, we will have been advised of their names and they will be able to choose a meal from the canteen to the value of £2.30 and we will issue a card for their use in the canteen. If your child has any medical conditions we should be aware of on the induction days, please email [email protected] if any medication will need to be administered during their time with us please complete the attached medical consent form and hand in to main reception with the medication at the beginning of school. If your child is asthmatic please ensure that they have their inhalers with them in their bags. Students will be dismissed at the end of the day at 2.50pm via Coningsby. The area around the school gets very congested and we would encourage parents not to park close to the school. However, if it is necessary to pick students up by car then please arrange a convenient pick up point away from the school. We have approx. 1,000 students leaving the school site at the end of the day at 3.05pm and if you have not made arrangements with your child of where you will meet, you may have difficulty in locating each other.

Students may wear non-uniform which should be suitable for school, no shorts or skirts may be worn that

7 curriculum.

If you have given consent for your son/daughter to have their fingerprints scanned, we will be scanning

these ready for September where they will be used in the library and canteen.

Lunch can be either a packed lunch or school meal which can be purchased from the school canteen at a cost of £2.30 for a main meal or there are various other options available as shown on the attached sample

menu. If your child usually receives a free school meal, we will have been advised of their names and they will be able to choose a meal from the canteen to the value of £2.30 and we will issue a card for their use in

the canteen.

If your child has any medical conditions we should be aware of on the induction days, please email

[email protected] if any medication will need to be administered during their time with us please complete the attached medical consent form and hand in to main reception with the medication at the

beginning of school. If your child is asthmatic please ensure that they have their inhalers with them in their

bags.

Students will be dismissed at the end of the day at 2.50pm via Coningsby. The area around the school gets very congested and we would encourage parents not to park close to the school. However, if it is necessary

to pick students up by car then please arrange a convenient pick up point away from the school. We have approx. 1,000 students leaving the school site at the end of the day at 3.05pm and if you have not made

arrangements with your child of where you will meet, you may have difficulty in locating each other.
