WE, declare that this public declaration is our bold, somewhat rebellious call to action. This statement of principles challenges our assumptions, fosters our commitment, and provokes change. The future of our people depends on what we do this very moment. It’s no longer fashionable to be indifferent to poor (or brown) peo-ple suffering. It’s no longer fashionable to be indifferent to injustice and oppression. It’s no longer fashionable to be indifferent to the blood shed on our streets. It’s no longer fashionable to be indifferent to global white supremacy. It’s no longer fashionable.

1. The Black FamilyThe family is the staple of the Black community and the most valu-able asset we possess. Rebuilding our families is imperative to the forward movement of the community. The Black Family consists of two or more people who are committed to love, appreciate and sup-port each member of the group. Dedicated to the concerted effort to build, uplift and unify within the nucleus - strengthening the core which expands beyond the family and into the community. As members of a Black Family, we manifest:

• To restore the Black man to his rightful place as the King of the household, husband to his Queen and father of his chil-dren - securing positive imagery and an example for future generations.

• To view Black women as the Queens they are, with integrity, perseverance and a sass that no other woman walking the face of the earth has.

• To fight negative stereotypes in our community and around the world which is fueled by reality television and main-stream media.

• To strengthen relationships through conversation, under-standing and open dialogue about the issues that keep us apart.

• To provide solutions and strategies that will help build the bridge that will help us find our way back to each other.

2. The Black CommunityThe Black community has traditionally been referred to and oper-ated as a harmonious village. It is a group of individuals linked by lineage. The village is responsible for growth, leverage and legacy; passing on wisdom and pushing for prosperity. As members of the Black community, we manifest:

• To work together as a unified group to rebuild our communi-ty to mirror the example of successful Black communities of our past. Coming together as individuals and organizations to see our community be successful, strong and thriving.

• To set aside differences and self-serving agendas.• To internalize the mantra, “all for one, and one for all.”• To develop an undeniable oneness with the community.

3. Black EconomicsBlack economics is the process of procuring assets in an effort to declare REAL independence and ensure a safe and secure environ-ment for future generations.

As Black innovators, business owners, workers and consumers, we manifest:

• To build businesses and create jobs in our community to pro-mote community development

• To lower our unemployment rate • To increase the average median household income • To support the growth and expansion of business in our com-

munity• To buy property• To save our historical sites• To donate to the campaigns of political figures that represent

us• To support Black businesses• To raise financially conscious children• Live beneath my means to build savings for the future.

4. EducationKnowledge is power and the truth overrides all other matters of sto-rytelling. Knowledge tells us who we are as a people. Truth shared by community elders and professional educators teaches our youth about their ancestors who were royalty, inventors, entrepreneurs, scientists and beyond giving our community, and the world, a true representation of who we are. Sharing this truth with society, our youth and future generations will create strong legacies. As individuals dedicated to the transfer of knowledge and truth, we manifest:

• To educate from a historical perspective• To encourage ownership, as opposed to an employee mentality,

and fill in the gaps that will prepare our youth for success• To mentor whenever possible• To challenge mainstream academia and encourage creative

thinking from our youth

5. Black WellnessThe ongoing effort to educate and empower each other from birth to the grave through information that restores and heals our physi-cal, emotional and spiritual bodies. Black wellness is the foundation of our effectiveness. We must be WELL to love, grow, prosper and educate. As individuals dedicated to living well, we manifest:

• To educate ourselves about the pros and cons of what we ingest

• To getting annual check-ups and well-woman/well-man ap-pointments with a health professional

• To exercise regularly• To get an understanding of our family’s health history and pass

that information on to our children

This has been an AMAZING year for both CulSire and myself. Let me first say, none of the success that we’ve achieved this year has been easy. But it has been well worth it, because we’ve received the love and support of our community. It feels good to know that there are other people in this world that believe in the resilience, success, and future of the Black community. I could not do, what I do, without the support of every one of you. I started CulSire with a simple love for my community and a desire to see our culture positively reflected and broadcasted to the masses. I love what I do, because I get to share #BlackLifeStories that make us proud and excited to be a part of this community. We celebrated our one-year anniversary this year, with the help of 55 Black owned businesses by our side as ad sponsors. I cannot tell you how humbling of an experience that was to have others believe in the work that we do and stand with us in solidarity. I am blessed to have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who understand the concept and value of teamwork. Each day, through my work at CulSire, I get to show the world and our community, the power of working together. I’m tasked with spreading sunshine, in a world that would like to see us live in darkness. But I know better. I know what we’re really made of, and I choose to focus on what’s good in our community and do the work to make us better.

We have a chance to do something great in this generation, as a community. We’ve started the work at CulSire by offering a media platform to combat the negative propaganda displayed about our families and our community. It’s going to take the work of all of us to keep us moving forward in the light. You encourage us to keep doing the work we do at CulSire to bring you positive news, engaging content, tell the stories not being told by main stream media, and steer attention toward more of the information that will help us grow as a community. Thank you to every person that has supported us through this year with a like, a share, a tweet, or a word of encouragement. You truly have been your sister’s keeper and I appreciate you. I pray blessings over each one of you.

BlackPeopleTogether is a cultural move-ment for the African-American commu-nity. A website that showcases posi-tive information about Black culture. #BlackPeopleTogether is made up of a small group of young African-Ameri-cans trying to remove the negativity in the local community and replace it with optimism for the future. It is difficult to stand by and watch the self-hatred we express towards each other, ignorant to the fact that we won’t get anywhere without one another. Our mission is to bring the African-American com-munity together and always spread a positive message until we learn to love, support, and encourage each other. For it is only together that we will rise up. Will be selling a few items like books that I have written and clothing with positive messages just to name a few.

Applying concrete stain is not difficult or expensive.

What if I told you that you could take that ugly, cold, gray garage floor or any other surface and turn it into a work of art that gets praise from friends, family, or customers?

What if I also told you the cost of apply-ing the stain yourself is less than $.50 per sq/ft? By showing you how to stain concrete floors, I am going to show you a simple and inexpensive way to turn an eyesore into a beautiful masterpiece. Bellalicious Cosmetics is a kids’ cosmetic line of nail polish, lip gloss and hair care products that promotes beauty and confidence from the inside & out for ALL girls! Bellalicious Cosmetics was founded in late 2013 by Yolanda Flour-nah-Perkins when she became aware of the lack of child-friendly nail polishes on the market. When she was painting her daughter, Bella’s, nails, she realized that the ingredients were toxic and un-safe for her child. After researching and becoming aware of the fact that there were very few nail polishes that were safe for children, she decided to set out and create polishes of her own that had less toxic ingredients. Yolanda utilized her cosmetic line as a platform to focus on sending strong, empowering and positive mes-sages to girls to remind them that they are beautiful, to embrace their difference and to dream big. Since its inception, Bellalicious Cosmetics has become a movement of positivity and self-confi-dence for girls and women all over the world! For Yolanda, having a platform like Bellalicious Cosmetics is something invaluable that she wished was around when she was in college. It was due to her low self-esteem and low-confidence that Yolanda made a foolish decision in college that landed her in federal prison for 37 months. It was while Yolanda was in prison that she realized her value and worth and knew that she would never return. After her release from prison, Yolanda went on to finish school where she ended up receiving a Bachelor’s de-gree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s

degree in Health Services Administra-tion from Florida Gulf Coat University and Nova Southeastern University. Bellalicious Cosmetics is a con-stant reminder for ALL girls that they are SMART, CONFIDENT, INTELLI-GENT, but more importantly, they are BEAUTIFUL!

Hey Ladies,

If you are anything like me, you love having beautiful things around you that motivate and inspire you to be exactly who you are and be your very best. I know I do. I’m sure you have beautiful pens that write your unique name with sass and style and stationery that’s so pretty and inspiring.

How many times have you settled for the bare minimum for your stationery; just like you settle for the bare minimum in life?
