This “Hands-On” event is designed to familiarise delegates with a range of orthopaedic and rheumatological knee disorders, guided by experts in the field.

Educational aims:

• To understand the normal MRI anatomy of the knee including normal variants and age specific appearances.

• To develop a systematic checklist for assessing and reporting knee MRI.

• To become familiar with a wide variety of common and interesting orthopaedic and rheumatological pathology in the knee as well as pitfalls in interpretation.

In each session, the delegates will be asked to review a series of cases. This will be followed by an interpretation session with the experts, with allocated time for delegates to pose questions and to interact with the experts.

Faculty

Dr Gajan Rajeswaran completed his Radiology training in 2010 and is a double fellowship trained Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist with a susbpecialist interest in elite sport. He has authored seventeen publications and two book chapters and he has a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.

Dr Robert Pearce studied medicine at Magdalene College, Cambridge and Imperial College, London graduating in 2000. He spent 5 years as a specialist registrar in Radiology at University College Hospital, London and was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Chelsea & Westminster hospital in 2011.

Dr Benjamin Roberton is a consultant musculoskeletal and interventional radiologist. He underwent undergraduate training at the University of Edinburgh, and is dual fellowship trained, undertaking an interventional radiology fellowship in Vancouver following an MSK fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
