For the Roman Soldier…• The belt was used to “gird” or bind his long,

loose robe tightly to his waist.• It enabled him to fight unencumbered,

balanced and stable, without tripping over himself.

For the Christian Soldiers…• The Belt of Truth is the strength of our

character, our integrity.

• It’s what holds us together, and gives us our stability, security and balance when assaulted by the philosophies of this world.

become loose and integrity gets lazy• We become an easy target for the enemy;

easy to trip up, easy to stumble, easy to take down and defeat!

WORLDVIEW• A “worldview” is the framework from which

we view and live our lives.

• It is your ideology, your philosophy of life and theology.

• It is the “lens” through which you view reality and make sense of the world.

BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW• A “biblical worldview” is based on the

infallible Word of God. • When you believe the Bible is entirely true,

and allow it to be the foundation of everything you say and do.

SECULAR WORLDVIEW• A “secular worldview” says, “I am my own

god and I decide my own truth; I determine for myself what is right and what is wrong. The bible is just a book, and church, God are not relevant to my life.”

• Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today?
