The Basics 1


Are you sure that filters are just for weathering, for worn effects ?Are you sure that they’re just for armour, and not suited for aircrafts or other kind of kits ?

Maybe other filters are... But not True Earth.

In this tutorial i will not show what filters usually do, and that True earth does remarkably well, but i will place you “a fly into the ears” of one of the things they they can do more.

Sei certo che i filtri siano solo per invecchiare, per effetti usurati ?Sei certo che siano solo per i mezzi corazzati, e non adatti ad aerei o altri tipi di modelli ?

Puo darsi per altri filtri... ma non per True Earth.

In questo tutorial non ti mostrerò quello che fanno tutti i filtri, e che True Earth sa fare molto bene, ma ti metterò “una pulce nell’orecchio” di una delle tante cose che True Earth può fare in più.

True Earth TRANSPARENT FILTERS are the most up-to-date resin+resin waterbased formula.Inside coloration is a resin too, and not a mineral pigment as all other filters and pigments on the market. Since this resin has the property to being traspassed by light, their transparency is actually unequalled.

Secondo vantaggio,gli strumenti.Puoi utilizzare i Filtri Trasparenti True Earth a pennello per filtri classici, lavaggi, cola-ture, lavaggi selettivi attorno ai dettagli.Oppure con l’aerografo per schiarire e ombreggiare i colori.

PAINT FADING 2, suited for lighter colors, for lighter co-mouflages and for highest lights on all colors.

DECOLORAZIONE 2, adatto ai colori chieri, alle mimetiz-zazioni chiare, e per le massime luci su tutti i colori..

To lighten high spots and center panels is easier with PAINT FADING Filters.They avoid you to create many color mixes, but simply wth a multi-layering method, availed by the low impact of any layer.

Schiarire le zone alte ed il centro delle pannellature, è molto più facile con i Filtri DECOLORAZIONE.Ti evitano di creare e stendere miscele diverse di colore, ma con un metodo multi-strato permesso dal basso impatto che ogni strato ha sui colori.

I prefer to use them pure into airbrush, with a higher pressure like 1,5 to 2,00 bars.In case of need, yust a bit water for thinning.Shake them well for best results, and do not expect a color-like coverage.Compare airbrush cleanliness after a filtering session... just a drop water is enough to clean it !

Nell’aerografo preferisco utilizzarli puri, a pressione abbastanza alta 1,5 - 2,00 bars. Se necessario, basta una goccia d’acqua per la diluizione.Agitali bene per ottenere la migliore resa, e non aspettarti da subito un potere coprente come fossero colori.Guarda come resta pulito l’aerografo dopo una sessione di filtri... basta una goccia d’acqua per la pulizia !

SELECTIVE WASHES LAVAGGI SELETTIVI

Selective washes are the best and cleanest way to stand out details without affacting the whole model.Use a tone of a True Earth TRANSPARENT FILTER at your taste, darker than the kit’s color.

1-2-3 For recessed panels (aicrafts too) moist with a thin layer of water, add the filter, clean the excess. DONE ! ... and dry within a few minutes.

4-5-6 For relieved details moist, add the filter around details, just touch rivets. DONE !

I lavaggi selettivi sono il modo migliore per tirar fuori i dettagli in modo pulito, senza influire sul coore di tutto il modello.Prendi un tono di FILTRO TRASPARENTE True Earth a piacere, che sia più scuro del colore del kit.

1-2-3 Fer pannellature incise (anche aerei) inumidisci con pochissima acqua, stendi il filtro, pulisci l’eccesso. FATTO ! ... Ed asciutto in pochi minuti.

4-5-6 per dettagli in rilievo inumidisci, stendi il filtro attorno ai dettagli, tocca appena i rivetti. FATTO !

RESULT = CLEAN AND SHARP DETAILSRISULTATO = DETTAGLI PRECISI E PULITI


When dry (minutes), you will see that your selective washes have nicely feathered borders.

This effect will appear still better after one o two days of complete polymerization of filters.

Quando asciutto (minuti), noterai che i tuoi lavaggi hanno un piacevole bordo sfumato.

Questo effetto sarà ancora migliore dopo un giorno o due di completa polimerizzazione dei filtri.

Want to add more to your 3D effect ?1- Just use the same dark filter to add depht on lower sides.2- To enhance some lines.3- A little trick to avoid overdoing : see wet reflex where you’re airbrushing and proceed an area at a time.
