Dear Parishioners and Friends,

The crea on of the world by God was meant to organize a place or area in which all plants, animals and men would live in harmony, worship the Creator and cause him joy. Why is it different? Our ancestor has succumbed to the tempta ons of Satan and commi ed a sin for which he was expelled from paradise. His sin charged us all. It could have stayed this way, had it not been for the mercy of God who send down Jesus Christ to redeem us. The martyrdom of Jesus' death, His resurrec on opened up our way to salva on, in other words , enabled us to return to the Father - God, and the lost paradise. Jesus was well aware that, at the me of the comple on of his work He will become the second Adam. And at the same me He became the one who at the end of me will return to us, and embrace us all with his great merciful love. Even contemporaries of Christ learned mercy. Through each other's acts of kindness, they learned to know God's mercy. This lead to the fact that "more and more men and women, took faith in the Lord. (Acts 5:14)." Why? Because the miracles that were performed not only by Christ but also by the Apostles, were actually works of mercy. Today, through God's mercy , we have the opportunity to par cipate in the Mystery of Birth and Life, Death and Resurrec on, Salva on and Glory of our Lord, Jesus Christ. God's mercy not only gave us faith and the sacraments but also brings us closer to the Lord. Through the sacrament of Bap sm we have been incorporated into the Church, while co-crea ng it. Through reconcilia on we gain forgiveness of sins and reconcile with God, and through the Eucharist we par cipate in His consant Sacrifice. Reading the words of the Gospel about the incredulous Thomas, whom Jesus allowed to touch His wounds, we can read the text as it was addressed to us. Again, we are shown mercy, this me directed at us. Although we did not par cipate in the events leading up to Jesus' death we too are blessed by God. Why? Because we are the ones who do not see God, yet we believe in Him. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed. " (John 20:29 ). God knows the weakness of human nature and wants to defend us from it. Is this not ironic? God wants to protect us from ourselves . That is why, on the evening of His Resurrec on Jesus passed on the Holy Spirit to the Apostles, telling them at the same me, " Whose sins you forgive, are forgiven ; the Sims that you retain, they are retained." (Jn 20:23 ) . Jesus gave the apostles the power to forgive sins, and He gave us confession as a weapon to fight them. How can we doubt His Mercy and Love? The risen Jesus Christ, our Teacher, help us to understand the

depth of God's mercy so we can reach the house of our

Stworzenie świata przez Boga polegało na zorganizowaniu pewnej strefy, w której rośliny i zwierzęta oraz stworzony człowiek, żyjąc w harmonii, mieli wielbić Stworzyciela i przysparzać Mu radości. Dlaczego jest inaczej? Nasz protoplasta uległ pokusom szatana i popełnił grzech, za co

został wypędzony z raju. Swoim grzechem obciążył nas wszystkich. Mogłoby tak już zostać, gdyby nie Miłosierdzie Boże, zsyłające nam Jezusa Chrystusa. Męczeńska śmierć Jezusa i Jego Zmartwychwstanie otworzyły nam drogę ku Zbawieniu, inaczej mówiąc, umożliwiły nam powrót do Ojca – Boga, do utraconego raju. Jezus doskonale zdawał sobie sprawę, iż w momencie wypełniania swojego dzieła stał się drugim Adamem. A jednocześnie stał się Tym, który na końcu czasów powróci, by nas wszystkich objąć swoją Wielką Miłosierną Miłością. O miłosierdziu wiedzieli już współcześni Chrystusowi, bowiem okazując sobie nawzajem miłosierdzie, uczyli się poznawać Miłosierdzie Boże. Prowadziło to do tego, że „Coraz bardziej też rosła liczba mężczyzn i kobiet, przyjmujących wiarę w Pana.” (Dz 5,14). Dlaczego? Bo cuda, które się działy nie tylko przez Chrystusa, ale także Apostołów, to właśnie dzieło Miłosierdzia. Dzisiaj my, dzięki Bożemu Miłosierdziu, mamy możliwość uczestniczenia w Misterium Narodzin i Życia, Śmierci i Zmartwychwstania, Zbawienia i Glorii naszego Pana, Jezusa Chrystusa. Boże Miłosierdzie nie tylko dało nam wiarę, ale i Sakramenty, które przybliżają nas do Pana. To właśnie przez Sakrament Chrztu zostaliśmy włączeni do wspólnoty Kościoła, jednocześnie go współtworząc. Przez Sakrament Pokuty jednamy się ponownie z Bogiem, zyskując odpuszczenie grzechów, czyli przebaczenie, zaś poprzez Eucharys ę uczestniczymy w Jego nieustannie uobecniającej się Ofierze. Czytając słowa Ewangelii o niedowierzającym Tomaszu, któremu Jezus pozwala dotknąć Swych ran, możemy odczytać ten tekst jako skierowany do nas. Znów mamy do czynienia z Miłosierdziem, tym razem wobec nas, którzy nie uczestniczyliśmy w tych wydarzeniach, a mimo to jesteśmy przez Boga błogosławieni. Dlaczego? Bowiem jesteśmy tymi, którzy nie widząc Boga, wierzą w Niego. A Jezus przecież powiedział „Błogosławieni, którzy nie widzieli, a uwierzyli.” (J 20,29). Bóg dobrze zna słabość natury ludzkiej i chce nas przed nią bronić. Czyż to nie ironia? Bronić nas przed nami samymi. Dlatego też już w wieczór Zmartwychwstania Jezus wylał na Apostołów Ducha Świętego, mówiąc im równocześnie „Którym odpuścicie grzechy, są im odpuszczone, a którym zatrzymacie, są im zatrzymane.” (J 20,23). Apostołom dał moc odpuszczania grzechów, nam dał spowiedź jako oręż do walki z grzechami. Czyż można wątpić w Jego Miłosierdzie i Miłość? Jezu Chryste Zmartwychwstały, Nauczycielu, pomóż nam pojąć

głębię Bożego Miłosierdzia, byśmy mogli trafić do Domu Ojca.

You can have your own name on a leaf or choose to name your family. Proceeds from this project will be used for repairs of the church parking area and parish buildings. Jenny Harman My sponsor, Marian Kaminski brought me to the R.C.I.A. Program. The R.C.I.A. Program has enlightened me through readings and discussions. My teacher Connie has always successfully explained everything I may not have understood. She has answered all ques ons that I may have had. This program and my teacher Connie have brought me closer to God.The Catholic faith is love, community and the light of God's Word. I intend to remain a parishioner at St. Constance and a end church with my daughter. I wish to teach her to live the faith in love, kindness and good will to others.

Joseph Dziedzic My mom always wanted me to get confirmed, but I was always pu ng it off. My mom passed away in 2014 and I know she would have wanted me to be confirmed. An opportunity had presented itself when my sister asked me to be godfather for her unborn child, AIIysa. I spoke with Fr. Ted and he encouraged me to enroll in the class so I would be able to be a godfather. My sister Krystyna and her husband Sebas an brought me to the RCIA program. When I think of the RCIA program , I think of the friends I have made. I think of the things I have learned that helps me be a be er Chris an. For instance, by bearing witness to the Lord through a public acknowledgement of faith, through a more charitable life of Chris an service and sharing of faith, con nuing the studying of God's Word and receiving the Eucharist in a more meaningful way. As a person being confirmed, I am commi ed to be a responsible worker in the Chris an community. The Catholic faith means being moved by the Holy Spirit to receive these graces from God--love, joy, peace, pa ence ,kindness, generosity ,faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. I intend to live and share my Catholic faith in every aspect of my life. I intend to teach and live the graces of God. I think everything I experience in life shapes me and makes me who I am today, including my Catholic faith.

Mai Dyrek Ryszard brought me to the RCIA program. We decided to do this together so that I can learn about the Catholic religion. I want to learn more about his culture and religion. I want to be a part of the religion too. Father Ted suggested that we take these classes so that we can both learn about the Catholic faith in English so that we can help each other. If we both understand the faith in the same language, it will be easier to help each other grow in the faith. I learned a lot about the Catholic religion. I learned that God gives us graces every day. We should live a life with God in our hearts. I learned that following Jesus is the right path to reach heaven and eternal life. Through following Jesus, we can all become one with God in the a erlife. I have also gained new friendships with the people I meet every Sunday for our classes. Thanks to all of them, I have go en be er at reading English. The Catholic faith brings me closer to God. It brings Jesus into my heart. The Catholic faith is the only way to get into heaven and be joined with God. Following the Catholic faith will help me live a happy and complete life with God and his family. I intend to live a life with God's graces. I want to eventually go to heaven. I want my children to grow up in a happy home. I want us all to meet in heaven forever. I want to pray for myself and for my family to have good lives and go to heaven.

Allison My fiance, Adam Stankiewicz, brought me to the RCIA program at St. Constance. Adam prac ces . Catholicism and a ends mass every Sunday at St. Constance. We live within walking distance of the church and a end this church together. When Adam and I started becoming serious about our rela onship, we discussed our marriage lives and how we would raise our children. Because Adam had the strongest faith, I decided that I would like to learn more about the Catholic religion and that's why I joined the RCIA program. The RCIA program has taught me about the Catholic religion and how it coincides with the bible. Throughout this program, I have gained a closer rela onship with God and my fiance. This program has reminded me of his importance and how everyone needs to open their hearts and let him in. The Catholic faith means that no ma er what anyone tells you, that you just have to believe and to believe that God loves you. If we try to avoid evil, are faithful to our loved ones, respect the unknowns, treat people the way we want to be treated, forgive and forget, and repent our sins, then we can be closer to God in heaven. I intend to live and share my Catholic faith with my fiance and hopefully our children one day. As a family, I want to wake up for mass every Sunday, throw on our Sunday best, and maybe get brunch a erwards. I'd like to raise my children with a great support system and with a strong faith. We will try to a end mass each week and to give back to the community some way.

Piotr Nawara — It's kind of a funny story. You see at first I had no idea that I was a ending such a program. But I am very glad I did. My fiancees mother had signed us up and of sort kept it a secret. It wasn't un l about a month before that there was a note hanging in the living room with the date, me, and the class we were a ending. We were a bit confused but the topic did surface once or twice before so it wasn't a complete shocker. To understand how much I've gained you need to go slightly back in the past before I have started da ng my fiancee. I was not much of a believer. I mean I believed in god and that he had a plan for us and also I was raised in the Chris an home but it never really extended past that. Since however I met my fiancee and a ended the RCIA program I finally realized how much flawed my thinking was. God is everywhere and he is good. He helps those that choose to believe in him and he represents everything in this life that is love. Plus I gain nothing for not believing and I finally understand that. I just wish others in this world could be as enlightened as god has made me. Catholic faith means a great deal to me. We are a family that believe in the one true god. I am truly proud of the accomplishment of the Chris an people. We have built schools, Churches, we are present in many hospitals and most importantly we are present in a lot of hearts. The bond that we share provided by god is indestruc ble and it will con nue to be so for as long as we shall live. I intend to live in the graces of the god. By staying humble and obedient to his will. It really struck me when we talked about riches in class. That it is harder for rich to get to heaven and yet we all strive for that in our lives, to have money and live comfortably. Yet not everyone is presented this opportunity. When it comes to sharing I will definitely share with the one that is willing to listen. But if god has a different plan for me? I guess that will be revealed in me.

Małgorzata Budzioch — My parents have brought be to join the RCIA program offered at Saint Constance Church. In order to receive my proper marriage in church, I need to fulfil the church requirements such as confirma on. In some churches it is not required but it is the right thing to do and I would love to gain as much knowledge about the Lord as I ca. I believe it is a part of my journey to share the beau ful gi s of knowledge with others. To explain what messages Jesus has to offer and to join him on a spiritual journey in life. I have not only gain the wonderful knowledge from the bible. I will be gaining my holy spirit and with my confirma on I will have Saint Francis of Assisi protec ng me. He will be joining the path I shall be walking. I have also gained wonderful new strong rela onships not only with my spouse but with my classmates. My teacher has brought us all together in such a warm, calm, and accep ng environment where everyone speaks freely. She has guided us in the right direc on, and makes us feel so amazing when we enter and leave class. We truly come home and speak of how happy we are with our teacher and the class. Her brightness signs through her whole body as if she was choose as an angel. When it comes to the Catholic Church it means a great deal to me about faith. Saint Constance has brought my family closer together not only spiritually but physically. We have a much stronger bond between one another and have such a posi ve energy in life. PARAFIALNE GRUPY DUSZPASTERSKIE Spotkania Dzieci Maryi odbywają się w każdą sobotę o godz. 1:00 po południu w sali bibliotecznej. Chrzty w języku angielskim są w pierwszą i trzecią niedzielę, a w języku polskim w drugą i czwartą niedzielę każdego miesiąca. Rodzice są zobowiązani do wzięcia udziału w spotkaniu przygotowującym do tego sakramentu przed planowaną datą chrztu dziecka. Prosimy o skontaktowanie się z biurem parafialnym, aby zgłosić dziecko do chrztu. Sakrament Małżeństwa… Archidiecezja Chicago zaleca, aby osoby, które planują zawarcie sakramentu małżeństwa zgłosiły się do biura parafialnego co najmniej cztery miesiące przed datą ślubu.
