The IQAC played an active role in initiating the faculty to apply for Minor and Major project in various interdisciplinary subjects and topics.

Successfully six of our faculty applied for UGC Minor projects and three of them were approved.

The IQAC advisory suggested for submission of the proposal for the UGC scheme titled “Colleges with Potential for Excellence” and “Autonomous Status”. The College applied for the same but its affiliation to Bharathidasan University, Trichy was changed to affiliation to Tamilnadu Music and Fine Arts University, Chennai. So the applications were kept in abeyance.

The IQAC member suggested that as a Fine Arts College awareness of social evils should be propagandised so we had on opportunity to enact street plays. As per the request of the police commissioner, Trichy, our college students enact street plays with the theme of awareness of traffic rules. They were appreciated and awarded by the Commissioner of Police and public.

For the qualitative improvement of the college the IQAC facilitated agenda for the academic year and several departmental meetings were conducted to implement the actions effectively.
