Hello Spring!
Springtime in the desert is an ideal
time to get outdoors and admire the blooming cacti. We’ll soon
be planting our vegetable & flower garden in the spectacular
planters donated by the Boy Scouts of Las Vegas. When weather
permits, we’ll spend part of the day on the outdoor patio playing
games and taking advantage of our beautiful mountain views!
We’re so excited to have UNLV Occupational Therapy student
volunteers with us this semester. The students bring fantastic
energy to the center and the clients absolutely love it! These
FUN-DAY FRIDAY’s w ill focus on activities designed to
improve cognition, provide stimulating engagement, encourage
artistic expression and increase physical movement.
We’re taking Bingo to a whole new level this month by introduc-
ing BINGOCIZE! A combination of physical & cognitive
prompts are inserted in to bingo play (ex: brain teasers, stretch
movements & cardio moves). Browse our activities calendar and
special event flyers (available at the front desk) for monthly
“happenings” such as: Crazy Hat Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter
Egg Decorating, Italian Ice Day & more. Our exercise program
will continue to feature: Chair Yoga with Nora, light-weight
workouts & chair dancing.
The Covid-19 vaccine is now available to those 65+. Please visit

Coronavirus Concerns: (Updated 1/5/21)
In accordance with CDC guidance, to protect our adult day care centers and all of our vulnerable senior clients, we are making every effort to mitigate exposure to Covid-19.
What Is Nevada Senior Services Doing to Protect Your Loved One?
We have doubled our cleaning efforts including facility disinfecting both during the day at night.
We have provided additional staff training including precaution protocol and increased prevention measures
including our emphasis on staff hand washing and use of gloves and masks.
We have increased monitoring of staff and clients’ health looking for any possible symptoms.
We are in close communication with the Southern Nevada Health District for updates.
Guidelines for returning day care center clients and out of state
travel or visitors from out of state: (very im portant policy)
Any adult day care client who has been absent for any period of time, must be fully screened by our
own Nursing Staff before re-admittance.
If an adult day care and/or respite client has traveled or has been in contact with a visitor from out
of state, or overseas, it is our policy that they must self-quarantine for 10 days once they
return to their primary residence or from the date of their last out of state visitor contact. It is our
Policy to record the date when the 10 days of self-quarantine has commenced and when it will
end.
*If you believe your loved one has had an exposure to someone with Covid-19 or if you have any concerns about your loved one’s health, please check-in with our nursing team for consultation at 702-648–3425 or 702-368-2273. We will provide you with updates at the front desk and on our website NevadaSeniorServices.Org. More info at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
Please notify us immediately if your loved one tests positive for Covid-19. Contact the Nurse on duty at your center with questions.
