China-Northeast Asia Expo is the unique international comprehensive Expo that is open to the whole world and participated by the six countries in Northeast Asia who are China, Russia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea and Mongolia. One Center—Jilin Province is located in the center of the circle formed by Northeast China, Korea, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia and East Siberia of Russia, which plays an important part in the international cooperation of the development of Tumen River area supported by the United Nations Development Program and has incomparable advantages in promoting Northeast Asian regional cooperation. Two bases—Jilin province is an important industrial base and commodity grain production base in China. Jilin possesses developed manufacturing industries, with automobile, petrol chemistry and agricultural product manufacturing being the three pillar industries and pharmacy and optoelectronics information being two advantageous industries. Located in the world-renowned “Golden Belt of Corn”, Jilin is the famous “Town of Black Earth”, with incomparable conditions for agricultural production. For many years, Jilin has been ranking first in the share of grain and meat per capita in China. Three Advantages—Jilin province is relatively advantageous in science and education, ecological environment and important resources. The quantities of scientists, engineers and college students in every ten thousand residents are among the top in China. The gross enrollment rate of highereducation reaches 32.3%. Jilin possesses 36 natural reserves,which account for 12.26% of the whole area of the province. Being a pilot province for ecological construction of the country, the forest coverage rate of Jilin is 43.4%, while that of the eastern part of the province reaches 70%. Jilin is also endowed with profuse mineral resources of great potential for exploitation, with oil shale, wollastonite, volcanic slag and other mineral reserves ranking first in the country.
