in Quarantine
The
3 ittle iwisL KWritten by Lyndell Ryburn

Once upon a quarantine, there lived 3 Kiwi Daddies who were stuck at home all day long.
You see, they were living through a pandemic and couldn’t leave their bubbles. They couldn’t to go to work or see their friends, they
couldn’t even play rugby! They had to stay at home with their wives and their kids, in their bubbles.
Daddy Kiwi had tried lots of things to keep busy. He tried zen yoga, but really hurt his leg!
He tried to teach his little Kiwi kids the 3 times tables, but that only last
30 seconds before he yelled “the answer is 9! Just write 9!” and stormed
out of the room.
The answer is 9!
He even went shopping for
Mummy Kiwi, but what are chai
seeds? And where’s all the
toilet paper?
Where’s the
toilet paper?
The only thing Daddy Kiwi enjoyed about lockdown was having some quiet time on his own, at the end of the day, in his man shed.
He had built it himself! He built it
during lockdown. He had built it from straw, because
that’s all he had and all the hardware
stores were shut for level 4.
One day when his Kiwi Kids were fighting, again,
Daddy decided to sneak out to his
man shed.
After a few glorious moment, Daddy
Kiwi heard a rumbling noise.
The rumbling was getting louder and
louder. The rumbling was getting closer and
closer.
