Worship Service Celebrating the Lord’s Supper

November 1, 2015

“THE WESTMINSTER CHIMES” (Please use this time to prepare for worship.)

GATHERING TOGETHER

WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS SHARING JOYS AND CONCERNS PRELUDE: Sing to the Lord arr: Mark Hayes CALL TO WORSHIP: based on Psalm 25:1-5 Rev. Bob Williams-Neal

Leader: To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. People: O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies

exult over me. Leader: Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who

are wantonly treacherous. People: Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. All: Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for

you I wait all the day long * GATHERING SONG: #333—See Ye First * PRAYER OF CONFESSION: based on Psalm 51 (unison) Rev. Bob Williams-Neal

Gracious God, have mercy on us in keeping with your steadfast love. According to your abundant mercy wipe away our sins and the guilt we carry. Write upon our hearts your great love. Establish in us your boundaries for our lives. Empower in us, by the Holy Spirit, the joyful passion for and pursuit of your glory, praise, and honor every moment of our lives. Create in us clean hearts. Renew within us your right spirit. Don’t veil your presence from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation. Sustain in us a willing spirit. Hear our silent confession... SILENTCONFESSION ASSURANCE OF PARDON

* GREETING ONE ANOTHER: Leader: May the peace of Christ be with you.

People: And also with you. * CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE: Sanctuary

Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.
