There once was a 70 year old woman named Megan

Burgers. She was a funny old lady,

but I knew she had come to tell me that she was lonely.

Megan was married for 35 years before her husband

died. She has lived in Denver, Colorado her whole

life.

Megan had this problem of not liking people very much. Most people are wondering

why she doesn’t like them???

Was it that her house was really scary and her grass

never got cut at all? I think I heard the grass

whisper, “Cut me!”

One day, there were three children walking by the house named

Chase, David, and Nicole. Megan watched them walking

from her front window. Maybe she was really lonely.

So, Megan walked out just to yell at them for walking by her

house. The children screamed and

screeched, “AHHH!!”Then they ran down the road to

their houses.

The next day, the children came back to Megan's house to ask her

why she had yelled at them. She told them, “I’ve been really lonely since my husband died a couple years ago, and I’ve been

really depressed about it.”

That would be as nice as pie.

So, the three children asked her if they could help do anything for her

or just hangout with her. Megan said, “That would as nice

as pie!”

For the next couple weeks, David, Nicole and Chase helped and kept her company. They all knew this would make Megan

really happy.

When they all finished the work, they were all happy it was done. They all continued to be friends.

Happily, Megan isn’t feeling depressed anymore.
