Thank You to All Health Fair & Back to School Kick Off Vendors and Attendees
5th Annual Health Fair & Back to School Kick Off Rewind
The 5th Annual Health Fair and Back to School Kick Off was a success! Thank you Assemblymember Weber for allowing Senator Atkins and I to become partners and participate on this special day. It was a fun-filled day with health screenings, educational activities, and free giveaways in our community to improve the health and quality of life for our residents.
The backpack and school supply giveaway was a tremendous hit thanks to several of our contributors. Hundreds of backpacks were distributed to students from elementary, middle, and high school. Now, they are prepared to receive a quality education in our communities!
Thank you to all of the vendors from the City of San Diego, including Valenica Park/Malcolm X Library, Pure Water, and Park and Recreation. I’d also like to thank United Domestic Workers for their contribution toward backpacks and school supplies.
Casa Mexico Restaurant & Bakery Grand Opening Casa Mexico is opening its doors in the Diamond District. Do not miss the opportunity to try their free food samples, enjoy live entertainment and be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony.
