Quick Install.Make sure that the Divi theme is installed and active on your Wordpress (if you not have a

Elegant Theme’s subscription feel free to purchase from this link).

Install Child Theme.

1. Install Garage child theme: Appearance >> Themes >> Add New >> Upload File.

2. Click on Select file >> Choose “Garage.zip” >> Open >> Install now.

3. Activate it.

And here is, now we have installated and activated the Garage child theme.

Import Process.

1. We start the import process importing the Divi’s Library to get the customized

layouts ready when we import the rest of the contents.

Go to Divi >> Library Divi >> Import & Export

2. Clic on Import tab >> Select the file >> Open >> and finally clic on Import.

3. Now we’ve to go to Divi on left menu >> Theme Options and make clic in the right

icon of up/down arrows.

Here we’ve to repeat the sames steps from point 2 (Clic on Import tab >> Select the file >>

Open >> a n d fin a l l y c l i c o n Import) but changing the imported file to

“Divi_Theme_Options.json”.

4. The next step is to import the customized settings for this child theme, this will be

made clicking on Divi section from Wordpress left menu >> Theme Customizer and

clic in the icon with up/down arrows at the top-left of the page.

And As in previous steps make clic on Import tab >> Select the file >> Open >> and finally clic

on Import.

This next step is only for import the demo content from original version of Garage Child

Theme, so if you want to use your own content, can avoid the next point.

5. To import the demo content we’ve to clic on Tools (Wordpress left menu) >> Import

>> Run Importer (last option at the bottom’s page) and upload the .xml file.

Don’t forget to check the option box for make a full import with all contents (images, articles,

etc…).

Edit some parameters.

To get the original look that the Garage child theme has, we’ve to make some little changes

across our Wordpress installation.

1. Set the Home Page.For this we have to go to Settings >> Reading, where will change to “A static

page” option and set the page called Home (it will created automatically if we

have done the demo content import).

2. For the next modification, we have to clic on Appearance (Wordpress left menu) >>

Menus, and once here, clic on the Manage Locations tab, where we set as Primary

Menu > “Main” and as Secondary Menu > “Top”.

3. The last change that remain to do, is adjust the web’s width. To do that, we’ve to go to

Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >> Layout Settings, where will have to

check the “Enable Boxed Layout” option (and if it’s already check, please, uncheck and

check again).

That’s all!! Now you have a complete Garage Child Theme.
