Operation

• Reverse BW: – up 1.5, down 512

• Multicast: changed to PIMD– tested between SFC and AIT

• OSPF on UDLR:– waiting for policies

• SOI server upgraded to RH 7.3• Sakurafubuki:

– almost done– accept file but hang after a while

• IPv6: should have addresses from UniNet soon

• Need to set-up a policy on the allowed traffic– how/what to filter– IPFW vs.. IPFilter– deny/allow all– invisible firewall at AIT/CSIM:

• Video conference test with IOIT– BW reservation from AIT: IPFW– BW reservation from IOIT: squid– quality received OK, but send not OK– need to upgrade Thai uplink– need to arrange true point to point BW

reservation between IOIT and AIT– would eventually need the BW for

several hours in a row

Research

• With Kasesart University and Dr Vasaka– on UDL– research is starting– sending file with no ACK– proposal submitted to Izu to get funding

by JP government

• Simulation ongoing on multicast push

E-learning

• AIT has released V Class– platform with LMS– authoring– animations (Flash, PPT, Stream)– extensions to handle real time virtual

classes, video conference, Netmeeting, VoIP, etc. (under development)

– given for free to AI3 members
