EXPERIENCE

The HDay 1 & 2 – USA to the Holy Land Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA onan overnight flight. You will be welcomed to the HolyLand by our airport representative and transferredto your hotel where you will enjoy dinner beforeretiring for the night.

Day 3 – The GalileeThis morning, pray and sing hymns as you cross thewaters of the Sea of Galilee by boat. Next, travel toCapernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry. Visit thesynagogue on the site where Jesus taught (Matt.4:13, 23). At the Mount of Beatitudes, read theSermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7). Visit the Churchof the Fish and the Loaves at Tabgha, thetraditional location for the feeding of the 5,000 (Luke9:10-17). Visit the Chapel of the Primacy, wherePeter professed his devotion to the risen Christ(John 21). End your day remembering at the Sea ofGalilee, where Dr. Rogers will baptize those whodesire it.

Day 4 – Cana, Nazareth, Megiddo & Caesarea Visit the Franciscan Wedding Church in Cana,where Jesus perfomed his first miracle by changingwater into wine (John 2). Visit Nazareth, Jesus’boyhood home (Matthew 2: 23). Overlook TelMegiddo (Armegeddon). End your day atCaesarea, a center of the early Christians. Here iswhere an angel visited Cornelius, the first Gentileconvert (Acts 10) and Paul was imprisoned for twoyears (Acts 23: 22).

Day 5 – Jericho, Qumran & the Mount of Olives Travel to Jericho and visit the ruins of the “World’sOldest City.” From this city once conquered byJoshua, (Josh. 6: 1, 2, 20) you can see thetraditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt.4: 1-11). Travel to Qumran, where the Dead SeaScrolls were discovered in 1947. End your day witha group picture taken atop the Mount of Olives,where Jesus ascended into heaven (Acts 1: 9-12).After dinner, enjoy listening to a special guestspeaker. Overnight in Bethlehem.

Holy LandDay 6 – Bethlehem & JerusalemVisit Bethlehem, where the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplaceresides in the world’s oldest functioning church (Matt. 1: 18-25).Nearby you’ll see the Shepherds Fields, where the Good Newswas first heard. View the Herodion. Return to Jerusalem to prayin the Garden of Gethsemane (Matt. 26: 36-44). Continue toMount Zion to visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas,where Jesus was questioned (Matt. 26: 57-65). Finally, the LastSupper comes to life as you visit the Upper Room (Mark 14: 12-26).

Day 7 – Jerusalem & the Old City Take time to pray at the Western Wall. Sit on the Teaching Steps,where Jesus once taught. Walk the Cardo, main street of the OldCity. View the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed theSabbath miracle (John 5: 1-31). Sing a hymn in the Church of St.Anne, known for its amazing acoustics. Visit Herod’s AntoniaFortress, where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke23: 1-11). Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” andstand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 8 – Leisure Day (Masada/Dead Sea option) Explore on-your-own or visit Masada and the Dead Sea(additional charge). Masada was Herod’s mountaintop fortress andthe last stronghold of the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans. Itwas named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001. End your daywith a quick dip in the salt and mineral-laden waters of the DeadSea.

Day 9 – Jerusalem Travel to Ein Karem, known as the birthplace of John the Baptistand the place where the Virgin Mary visited Elisabeth (Luke 1).Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial. Your final destination allows time for reflection at the Garden Tomb.
