Ambassador Committee News: We meet the second Wednesday of every month at Jerona Café at 12 noon for 1 hour. Our main mission as a commit-tee is to strengthen the connections between members. We want everyone to get the most out of their membership by being involved in Chamber events and all the business opportunities it provides.

Call Ivan Kuipers 928-301-5363 if you are interested in joining the Ambassador Committee or being a Guest Speaker at a future meeting.

April Meeting Highlights: Our April meeting was once again held at Jerona Café and we hosted Ms. Elisa Richards of Verde Valley CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Children’s Foundation. Thank you Elisa for pouring out your heart on behalf of the children in need and the foundation. To quote their brochure: “Supporting the needs of greater Verde Valley’s dependent children, words do not fully communicate the suffering of the abused, neglected and abandoned children entering Court-supervised care each year in the Greater Verde Valley”. Their members are the eyes and ears for court-appointed foster children in the Verde. There are currently about 30 CASA’s supporting around 150 children.

The month of May is “Go Blue for CASA” month here in the Verde Valley so get your blue wrist band at participating banks and from other young people helping with the fundraising. The Verde Valley CASA Children’s Foundation’s mission statement really sums up the presentation by Elisa: “To enhance the quality of life for children in the court system throughout the Verde Valley”. Contributions to the founda-tion are tax deductible, they have no paid staff so all contributions go to fund help for the children. Things like clothes, school supplies, and field trips. What a beautiful outreach to the community. Follow your heart and contact Elisa or Betty Hart the Director at 928-567-2946. Let’s give all the support we can to help these children grow into successful adults. They have many success stories to tell.

Chamber Member Benefit Highlight: Your Chamber membership is a tool kit you have purchased to create more business. Are you using all your tools as effectively as possible? Call any Ambassador or Board Member to find out how to squeeze out every drop of value from your investment; we are here to assist you!

Simple Marketing Tool-101: The Ambassador Committee needs items for the New Members bags we deliver each month. If you have 10, 20 or more promotional items or coupons for your products or services that we can give as a way of introducing YOU to our New Members, please drop them off at the Chamber office. Thank you!
