8th Grade Math Course Description:Focus will include formulating and reasoning about expressions and solving linear equations; understanding the concept of a function to describe quantitative relationships; and analyze 2- and 3-dimensional space and figures.

Homework PoliciesØ Homework is assigned practice to help reinforce and master content and must

be completed in a timely manner to ensure student success.

Ø It is the responsibility of the student to write homework assignmentsin their agenda/iPad/notebook on a daily basis.

Ø Students are expected to review material regularly and to study for upcoming quizzes and tests.

Ø If you do not understand an assignment, please ASK QUESTIONS! You canask before school, during lunch, after school, or via Remind.

A student cannot be properly assessed when assignments are missing, nor can he/she be successful on quizzes and tests without practice.

Make-Up Work:Ø If you know you will be gone, please fill out an absentee form

so I can get the materials to you before you leave.

Ø If unplanned absence, it is the responsibility of the student to check the absentee file for missed work immediatelyupon returning to school.

Ø Students have ONE day for each day they were absent plusan additional day to make-up missed work.

Ø Make sure to ask questions if you are not understanding the material you missed.
