This program trains individuals with the skills necessary to respond to suddenly ill or injured individuals and the knowledge to respond to emergencies that may involve the use of CPR. Course Information: Standard First Aid Course Length: 16 hours (1 day and a ½) Occupational Health First Aid Course Length: 16 hours (1 day and a ½) CPR (A) OR (B) OR (C) Course Length: 3 Hours Chainsaw Safety Awareness Chainsaw Safety was developed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to operate a chainsaw safely. Trainees are required to wear adequate safety gear, including steel toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses. Chainsaws and safety gear will be provided. Course costs include instruction and instructional materials. Course Length: 8 hours Confined Space / Respiratory Protection Awareness This training program provides information on hazards within Confined Spaces, safety meetings, testing, required safety equipment, and permit systems. This class meets the OH&S Standards for confined space entry. Certification is awarded upon course completion and written examination through the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association. Fall Protection Awareness Fall Protection Awareness is a course that was developed for workers that work in environment that requires them to work at heights and are required to use Fall Protection Safety Equipment. Certification is awarded upon successful completion of training program and written examination through the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association. This program meets the OH&S standards for Fall Protection. Costs include instruction and instructional materials. Course Length: 8 hours Fire Extinguisher Safety The Fire Extinguisher Safety Training program is designed for any industry or work environment. This course focuses on the topics including types of fires, types and classes of extinguishers, and methods of using Fire Extinguishers. Costs include instruction and instructional materials. Course Length: 4 hours Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) The TDG Training program was developed to meet industry standards and regulations in response to the transportation and handling of dangerous goods. Certification is awarded upon successful completion of course and written examination through Danatec. Costs include instruction and instructional materials. Course Length: 4 hours Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) The WHMIS training course can be applicable to all workplace environments. The course covers topics included hazardous materials and chemicals, Material Safety Data Sheets and emergency procedures. Certification is awarded upon completion of course and written examination through the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association. Costs include instruction and instructional materials.
