All different age groups and we were all so happy with our hair. I had my hair down but everyone else wanted an up-do. You would think a hairstylist is good at one or the other, but Kao was great in executing all styles. Everyone was so happy! I got so many compliments on how I looked. "Kao was such a pleasure to work with- so sweet and so talented! I went into my trial not knowing what I wanted and he worked with me to help decide what would go best with my dress as well as what would last all day. He even sacrificed the beautiful blooming orchid in his salon so I could see what it would look like with the flowers in my hair on the big day!! Kao did the hair of all 6 my bridesmaids as well and came up with unique styles for each of them. He showed up on time and as promised and was able to get everyone done by the time we needed."

“In preparation for my BIG day, I came across a daily deal for two blowouts. I thought it would be great to use them for both my mom and my now mother-in law. I looked on his website to see that he also does hair for weddings and thought the price of his package deal was quite competitive. When I went in for my trial, I had over 10 pages of hairstyles(from all angels) so he can get a sense of what I wanted, or thought I wanted. My wedding theme was modern vintage, so I was hoping for a lose dun or side chignon. Kao did as I wanted, but I wasn’t convinced that I loved it on me as much as I did on the pictures. Then Kao did what he does best, he took matters into his own hands and voila! he created a style that I loved! From that moment, I knew I could trust him completely. Kao doesn’t need pictures. He’s a master in his own craft.

“I found Kao through an email coupon I received for half off a bridal trial. Though I never redeemed the coupon, I feel that Kao's services was worth every penny.I went in for a trial at his salon and he was very nice and listened to what I wanted. He's very easy going but very professional. It was very convenient for me to go to his salon downtown instead of another stylist who was out of San Francisco and was willing to do a trial wherever I wanted, but it was inconvenient for me to figure out where to do it. His salon was very easy to get to.
On the day of the wedding, I was running late and he was already there and set to go. Though I must have been totally chaotic, he was very calming and because he was very focused in doing magic to my hair, I didn't even notice how fantastic he was doing until he was all done. He also did my mom's hair and though she can be very picky, he listened to

her and she looked fabulous.
With all that was going on before the ceremony and how we had to delay the start time, he was not rushing out the door and wanted to make sure that I was happy before he left.I'm very happy I found Kao because he did a great job. I'm going to go back to him for a perm and a cut in the future.”

“I went to Salon Kao Vey for a consultation to test out my hair for my wedding. Being stressed already with all my wedding planning I didn't want to have to go around looking for a hair stylist. I've gone to Kao for years for hair cuts and color so I thought maybe he can just to my hair for my wedding. I got there explained that I didn't know what I really wanted and that I just wanted my hair down. He asked me what my wedding theme was gonna be like and I said, "elegant and traditional". I loved what he did to my hair and hired him right on the spot.
For my wedding, I had to do a traditional asian wedding with a turban on my head for my ceremony. To Kao surprise, he had 30 mins to get me ready for my reception. I did explain to him at the consultation that my wedding might be a little crazy. Kao was so professional, he ask me as little question as possible, was able to find his way around the place and set up.

When I was out of my traditional asian clothes and turban he was all set up and ready to go.
Kao make me felt special and stress free. I looked gorgeous at the wedding considering I had 30 mins to get out of my turban, which made my hair all tangled up and hard to work with.
