Protection testing Automatic protective relay testing
PCITS2000/2Primary current injection test setThese tough self-contained test sets are designed foroperation by one person and are comparatively light. With aseparate hand-held controller connected by an expandablecable it allows the operator to work close to a protectiverelay while controlling a test.
DDA1600, DDA3000 and DDA6000High current injection test setsDDAs are a range of high current units capable ofgenerating a test current of up to 50000A through a circuitbreaker. The instrumentation and control system enable theoperator to vary the pulse time and firing angle of theinjected signal. They can be used for testing protection relaysand low voltage circuit breakers at the commissioning stage.
CB832 and CB845Current injection setsCapable of generating up to 1800A and 5000A respectivelyfor an instantaneous trip test, these units are ideal forcommissioning applications requiring high current injection. The CB current injection sets offer adequate driving voltagefor all but the highest circuit impedance.
Protective relay test systemThe MPRT tester and AVTS® software from Megger raises the standard for the automatic testing and management of protective relay systems. The MPRT offers traditionalmanual and semi automatic testing of the relay systemwhilst the AVTS package offers fully automatic testing aswell as relay maintenance schedule management.
Megger MPRTProtective relay tester
The power unit offers a range of new features includingconstant and high power output capability through theentire power curve, the combination of voltage and currentgenerators into one amplifier package giving the flexibilityof 4 current and 4 voltage outputs or 8 current outputs fortesting multi-phase differential relays, and built-intransducer testing capability. The test set also offers 4communication ports including facilities for high speeddownloads and upgrades via the internet.
The touch-view interface makes it easier to perform manual and semi-automatic relay testing. The large colourLCD touch screen allows the operator to test virtually alltypes of relays without the need for an external computer.Menu screens and function buttons provide a quick and easy method to drive the selected test.
Megger AVTS Advanced visual test software
A version of AVTS can be supplied to meet individualcustomer’s requirements. AVTS Basic is supplied with allMPRT systems but can be upgraded to AVTS Advanced orthe full AVTS Professional packages. AVTS Basic allows fullautomatic operation of the test set with pre-prepared testfiles, whilst the Advanced and Professional options giveincreased functionality for the preparation of automatic testfiles and relay performance evaluation.
Automated relay testing enables the test engineer to save agreat deal of time and money by rapidly executing the testprocess and minimising any protected power systemequipment down time.

BGL
Battery earth fault trace
This instrument detects, tracks and locates earth faults
on battery or floating systems by injecting a 21 or 25Hz
signal (depending on line frequency) between the system
and earth. The resulting current is then traced through
the system with a clamp accessory, knowing that the
fault current will flow to earth until the fault is located.
Designed for operation on live battery systems, hence
there is no requirement to isolate the system.

Megger PA9plusPower quality analyserThe PA9plus has enhanced standard key features including a fast digital signal processor to support future evolvingfeatures and capabilities, a full 12MB of internal, non-volatile memory and incorporated auxiliary power inputcapabilities.
The product offers testing to the relevant standards(EN50160, IEC61000 series, IEEE1159, IEEE519).
Data can be downloaded from the PA9 without interruptingthe capability of instrument to record events. The optionalremovable memory capabilities allows internal recordeddata to be copied directly to an external standard compactflash card using the same technology available with most oftoday’s digital cameras. This means that without a computeron site, data can be copied, manually or unattended, fromthe instrument to external memory cards, increasing theeffective instrument memory storage to the size of thememory card used, and will program new configurationsetups in the same, simple manner.
Megger MetReportPower quality analysis softwareMetReport is an extremely powerful, fully functional, andstand-alone report generation tool for the Megger PA-9Pluspower quality analysers. Its primary purpose is todramatically improve and extend the reporting capabilitiesof our complimentary software packages.
In today’s economy, time is money. Power and power qualityprofessionals currently spend countless hours every yearcreating customized reports supporting their analysisstudies. MetReport automates this tedious task whileimproving the accuracy and reliability of the entirereporting process.
MetReport utilizes data files obtained from the PA-9 andPA-9Plus to rapidly produce completely customizable reportstargeted to your particular applications and requirements. Some examples include: Power quality studies, harmonicsanalysis, power factor and energy consultation, tolerancecurve studies (CBEMA/ITIC, SEMI F47, User Defined), autodata analysis pass/fail reports, EN50160 compliance, andIEEE/IEC Flicker. The key to quickly learning and usingMetReport is the integrated wizard function. This wizardeffortlessly takes you through the entire report creation, customization, and generation process. Several samplereport templates are included for review, and may bemodified to meet your specific needs.
All reports are output as standard Microsoft Worddocuments.
Megger SLM8
