Tessellation Portrait
Find a black and white portraitRight click> copy image
Edit> free transformresize
edit> adj.>brightness and Contrast
Find and copy a black and white line Tessellation
edit> pasteEdit> free transformScale it up so it fills the page but is not warped
Find a abstract color background. copy image
Edit> pasteEdit > free transform
Drag the tessellation layer to the top of the layer list.Lock the tessellation and color background layer
1.Click on the portrait layer
2. Choose the poly lasso tool
Click around the contour of ONE of the tessellation shapes
edit> copy
edit> pasteMove pasted layer above tessellation layer
Click back onto the portrait layerAgain using the poly lasso tool select another shape and
edit> copy
Edit>paste and drag that layer above the tessellation layer
Continue to Cut and paste at least 30 shapes
Unlock the tessellation layerChange the tessellation layer mode to Darker Color
Choose/ click on one of the shape layers
Filter > filter galleryChoose a filter that enhances/ styles the piece
*you are going to apply two filters to each piece so choose two that look similar
Choose another shape layer
filter>filter galleryChoose another filter that looks good or similar to the last filter
Continue to add one of the two filters to each of the shape pieces
Hold shift and click on all the shape layers
Layer> merge layers
image> adj> hue and saturation
Find a colored abstract shape picture that uses a Complimentary color to your colors…. I have a lot of purple so i choose yellow*it would look good if its a similar pattern to your tessellation
Edit paste
Change the layer mode… your choice!
