During the construction of a new Tesco Extra store in Crewe, Elliott were tasked with the design and build of a temporary store for Tesco to be made available for 39 weeks, to provide their customers with a continual shopping experience.

Elliott has been working with Tesco to develop off-site constructed solutions for retail stores.During the construction of a new Tesco Extra store in Crewe, Elliott was tasked with the design and build of a temporary store for Tesco to be made available for 39weeks, to provide its customers with a continual shopping experience.

The final building solution comprised 26 modules and was 14m long. Elliott utilised a hybrid version of our Classic product with a total store floor area of 10,000 square feet.Features of the building included double-glazed fully automatic doors with solid clear safety glass, Swedecor tile flooring to store area and a white polyester coated steel ceiling. The cash office ceiling was lined internally with gauge mesh overclad.A fully integrated paneling system (IPS) was installed to all vanity units and WCs. The large open spaces were created with removable steel work.Elliott provided the modular ’10,000 square foot retail store’ as a temporary solution for Tesco during the construction of a permanent store in Crewe.

Thus providing Tesco with a flexible, quickly installed (3-weeks total) and high quality retail space ensuring that Tesco maintained a continued and uninterrupted service. The modular store offers the perfect retail solution with the unique ability to be relocated to meet retail demandanywhere in the UK and installed within very tight timescales. It provides space flexibility in ultra fast time and is finished to the highest standard, perfect to suit the needs of a demanding and bustling retailenvironment.
