Terry Deru Utah Native Terry Deru has lived in Utah for most of his life. He was born in Ogden and lived in Plain City until age six. From there his family moved to Layton where he lived until eighteen. He even earned both his Bachelors of Finance and MBA in Utah at the University of Utah. He currently resides in Layton with his family. He has seven children and twelve grandchildren.

Terry Deru of Utah is a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). He is dedicated to serving the church and has held over fifteen different positions as a lay clergy member. He served a two- year mission for the Church in France and Belgium from September 1973 until August 1975.

Terry Deru, a Utah native, enjoys watching and playing many different types of sports. He cheers on his Alma Mater, The University of Utah, with season tickets to the Utes games. When watching professional football, Terry roots for the San Francisco 49ers. He loves playing golf and has a 15 handicap.

Terry Deru of Utah earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Finance, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and his MBA from the University of Utah in 1977 and 1979 respectively. He was offered membership by the Business Honors Society, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Phi Kappa Phi, an Honors Scholastic Society.
