The tour price of $5,699* is based on a minimum of 30 passengers. Cancellation of the pilgrimage is possible if fewer than 30 sign up. ACCOMMODATIONS: Pilgrims stay in first class hotels, based on double occupancy with private facilities. Single room supplement is $995, based on availability. Requests for a roommate will be accommodated, when possible, but are not guaranteed. The single-room supplement will be assessed if a roommate is not available when the group is finalized. MEALS: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided as indicated in the itinerary. TIPS AND TAXES: Extra costs normally appearing on hotel and restaurant bills as “services” are included in tour price, as are all government and local taxes on hotels and meals. Airport fees, departure taxes and fuel surcharges are not included, and will be billed at time of ticketing. SIGHTSEEING: Travel will be by modern, air-conditioned motor coach and overnight ferry, including services of English-speaking guide and entrance fees paid to all sites on itinerary. Masses at churches indicated are subject to availability. NOT INCLUDED: 1) Optional travel insurance is not included. Enclosed insurance recommendation form must be signed to acknowledge that you have read the recommendation. 2) Also not included are meals not included in itinerary, plus laundry, wines, liquors, sightseeing or services other than those specifically listed, items of a personal nature, and excess baggage charges. 3) *Airport fees, departure taxes and fuel surcharges are calculated at the prevailing rate at the time of ticketing, and will be billed at that time. ASSISTANCE: Pilgrims who require personal assistance must be accompanied by a paying passenger who will provide that assistance. DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION: A deposit of $500 per person is required to secure reservations, all of which will be applied to the price of the tour, with the balance to be paid in full no later than July 1, 2017. Written cancellations must be received by OCP Pilgrimages prior to June 1, 2017 to receive a refund. Participants who cancel after June 1, or after registration has been closed, are responsible for the entire cost of the pilgrimage. AIR TRANSPORTATION: Round trip air transportation is provided between Portland/ Copenhagen and Stockholm/Portland in economy class jet via Delta Air Lines. If pilgrims cancel after June 1, 2017, or after tickets are written, whichever comes first, 100 percent of airfare will be forfeited by passenger. All airfares are subject to government approval and may change without notice. INSURANCE: We recommend everyone purchase travel insurance. We urge this because insurance is not included in the tour price. Because of the cost of medical care outside the United States, and since Medicare does not provide coverage outside the U.S., there is the possibility that your own insurance provider may not cover you. Additionally, high costs are associated with escorted air evacuation. You will receive a Travel Insurance Recommendation form. This form must be signed and returned to OCP Pilgrimages with your initial deposit. RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY: OCP Pilgrimages and participating tour operators operate the land tours and cruise as agents of the hotels, bus operators, sightseeing contractors and others who provide the actual land and sea arrangements. They are not liable for any act, omission, delay, injury, loss, damage or non-performance occurring in connection with these arrangements. Air carriers and other transportation companies whose services are featured in these tours are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board. The contract in use by these companies when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the purchaser of the tours and/or passage. MISCELLANOUS FEES: All changes must be received in writing and may incur a charge for each revision. Deposits received after May 31, 2017, may incur a late registration fee. The city is often found near the top of quality of life rankings, but equally near the top of the world’s most expensive cities. Enjoy a city tour this morning, see the City Hall with its characteristic red brick towers, the Royal Palace, built at the beginning of the nineteenth century, and the spires and ramparts of Akershus Castle, the 14th century fortress guarding the harbor. Visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Museum of Viking Vessels. Spend some time at the Aker Brygge, where the previously industrial waterside area has been transformed into one of Oslo’s most popular shopping, dining and residential destinations. Free afternoon for sightseeing, shopping or relaxing. (Breakfast and Dinner) Wednesday, September 27: Stockholm Make an early start for the drive east into Sweden. Friday, September 15: CopenhagenArrive in Copenhagen, Denmark, for the first of a two-night stay. (Dinner)

Saturday, September 16: CopenhagenHome to about one-third of the country’s five million inhabitants, Copenhagen is a dynamic yet relaxed city with a wide variety of attractions. On our morning city tour see the Stock Exchange, Amalienborg Palace complex, home of the royal family, Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish government, the Tivoli Gardens, one of the world’s oldest leisure parks and the Little Mermaid, a statue sitting on a rock which was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale of the same name. Free afternoon. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Sunday, September 17: AarhusDrive west onto the island of Funen to visit the city of Odense, home of Hans Christian Andersen. Enjoy a stroll around the cobbled streets and half-timbered houses before continuing across the Jutland peninsula to Aarhus, Denmark’s second city, for overnight. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Monday, September 18: On boardEnjoy a free morning in the quaint center of Aarhus before driving to the port of Hirtshals for the overnight crossing of the Skagerrak strait, enjoying dinner on board. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Friday, September 22: GeirangerFollow the spectacular Sognefjord through incredible glacier country this morning, enjoying wonderful views of Geirangerfjord as we descend to Geiranger itself. The village is one of the best-known in Norway for its beautiful setting, clean air and rustic atmosphere. This afternoon, drive a short distance out of the village to a viewpoint high above the fjord which affords an incredible panorama. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Tuesday, September 19: BergenA relaxing morning on board, sailing past fjords and small islands along the spectacular west coast to Bergen, Norway’s second city, whose name means ‘meadow among the mountains’ in old Norse. On arrival in Bergen, check into our central hotel for the first of two nights. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Wednesday, September 20: BergenStart with an orientation of the city’s main sights today, including the historic ‘Bryggen’ waterfront district, now UNESCO protected. Take the funicular train to the summit of Mount Fløyen for wonderful views of the city and beyond, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the daily fish market at Torget square. Free afternoon and evening. (Breakfast)

Thursday, September 21: LeikangerFollow the fjords inland to the ski resort of Voss and board the train for a spectacular journey up into the mountains to Myrdal. Change trains and descend around 3,000 feet to the village of Flåm, where we reboard our bus. Then continue across the magnificent waters of Sognefjord to Leikanger for the night. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Saturday, September 23: GeirangerMarvel at this incredible country from the water with a cruise of Geirangerfjord, seeing the Seven Sisters, Suitor and Bridal Veil (Brudesløret) waterfalls, sheer cliffs, abandoned villages and, with luck, porpoises playing. Free afternoon. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Sunday, September 24: Lillehammer A scenic drive from Geiranger brings us to the traditional wooden Stave Church at Lom near Ottadalen. Continue through the stunning Gudbrandsdalen Valley, inspiration for Ibsen’s ‘Peer Gynt’ (based on the fairy tale of the same name), before arriving in Lillehammer, where the 1994 Winter Olympics were held. Lillehammer combines tradition and modernity in its wooden houses and vibrant nightlife. Before dinner at the hotel, enjoy a walk along Storgata, Lillehammer’s vibrant main avenue. (Breakfast and Dinner)

Monday, September 25: OsloDrive south from Lillehammer to Hamar, situated on Norway’s largest lake, where the Olympic Hall, nicknamed the Viking ship for its shape, was built to hold the speed skating competitions for the Lillehammer Olympics. On arrival in Oslo, visit the open air Norwegian Folk Museum, with an outstanding collection of wooden houses, costumes and cultural artifacts. Then continue to our hotel. (Breakfast and Dinner)
