Welcome to Term 4, Week 8
Congratulations to all the nominees for our 2020 School Leadership. The speeches you presented last Friday were well prepared and well received by students, staff and parents. These positions will be announced at our Presentation Evening next Monday night. We wish you all the best of luck. Our Kindergarten Orientation went well and we look forward to welcoming our new students again this week. Mrs Quade has an exciting half day planned for you. Tomorrow is Middle School Orientation for our Year 4 students who will be attending next year. Parents are asked to organise transport to this event. Ms Mawodza and Mrs Stokes are leaving us at the end of the year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Ms Mawodza and Mrs Stokes for their contributions to our school this year. Your professionalism and dedication is much appreciated. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours. This Friday we are having a Mufti Day as a Year 6 fundraiser. Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation which will go toward the Year 6 gift. The Senior School Administration Manager expression of interest for 2020 was advertised both within the Department of Education and in the West Wyalong Advocate last Friday. Application’s close on Monday, December 9. A panel will be convened soon after to finalise this position. Our core values of respect, responsibility and citizenship are at the centre of what we do at our school. Please discuss the importance of these values with your child. We are looking forward to a productive and enjoyable final few weeks of the school year. Congratulations to Isla Petrie who is our Citizen of the week. Isla is a kind, caring student who contributes positively to all aspects of school life. Well done, Isla!
