It’s very difficult to believe that this
is the last newsletter of the term. It
has been such a busy time, and even
these last days are filled with Camps,
Excursions, Discos, Spelling Bees… One of the things I really enjoy
about Camps, is the way in which
challenges faced on camp, have a
way of revealing people. I am always
amazed by the courage, tenacity,
resilience, determination and leader-
ship shown on camp, often from
students who would otherwise fly
under our radar. Often these chil-
dren discover the extent of their
own strengths for the first time, and
once they become aware of these
strengths, they develop and harness
them further. This growing self-awareness of our
own possibilities is so very im-
portant. To a large extent, it be-

paid to date and/or you have a payment plan in place. In order to keep St
Patrick’s Catholic Primary School fees to a minimum, it is imperative that all of

RE News—Sacramental Program
Celebrating the Sacraments of our Church is an excit-
ing and special time for our students. It is once again
time for the next group of students to begin their
sacramental journey. Please see the below note from
our Parish Office regarding the 2017/18 Sacramental
Program.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR CHILDREN 2017-18
A Parent Information session will be held on Sunday, 15 October, 10.30am in the Catholic Parish Office, Level 1, 66 Won-
garra Street for all parents who wish their child/ren to prepare for the sacraments of Confirmation, Eucharist (First Commun-
ion) and Reconciliation.
Children who are 8 + years old are able to prepare. Registration forms, dates and timetable, expectations and process will be
explained, and questions answered. The preparation program begins this year and concludes May 2018. For further infor-
mation please contact Anne Sheehan on 41516666.

Forestview Community Kindergarten is taking a bus to the
Eumundi Markets and then off to the Sunshine Plaza for a
day trip on Saturday 21st October. Cost for the day is
$50 and there will be raffle prizes to be won along the
way. Please contact the Kindergarten on 4152 1930 to
secure a seat. A deposit of $25 is payable by end of Term.

A Cricket Clinic is being held on the following dates in the upcoming September school holidays.
Dates: Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd /Sunday 24th September
Times: 1. Specialist Clinic – Ages 8 – 12 (and Beginner 13 & 14yrs) 8.30 to 12.30 each day.
2. Advanced Clinic - Ages 13 – 18 1.30 to 4.30 each day.
Costs: 1. Specialist – $150.00 (3x sessions)
2. Advanced Clinic - $140.00(3 x sessions)
