1 Tuesday August 11, 2020 Term 3 - Week 4 Dear Parents & Community, It is hard to believe that we are already up to Week 4 of this term. It has been incredibly busy for us with preparation for our four yearly external validation well under way. Whilst the EV doesnt officially take place until next term, we are undertaking significant reviews of current and past programs, collection and analysis of data, and projection into the development of future programs. It is hard work, but is a very rewarding process when you see all that our school has achieved over the past few years. Being Mindful of Our Neighbours I understand that when picking kids up from school it can often be difficult to find a park and at times stressful, however it is important that we respect our neighboursproperties. Please be mindful when doing u- turns in peoples driveways and following the speed limit along Boundary Road. The safety of everyone in the community is paramount. Naming belongings It is time to check that all clothing and equipment that your child brings to school is clearly labelled with their name. Things often get misplaced by students and if an item is clearly labelled it is easy for us to return it. Often names written in permanent marker will fade with time, so it is important to check these are still legible. Presentation Day We have received enquiries from some parents regarding our 2020 Presentation Day. At this stage, we do not have a date for it, as unless the COVID situation improves significantly, and restrictions on gatherings are lifted, we will not be able to run it. We will of course, still have awards for our students, to be presented here at school, in much smaller and shorter assemblies. Whilst this is not our preference, we appreciate your understanding of the change to this important annual celebration of learning. Anthony Moran Principal PRINCIPALS MESSAGE

    Tuesday August 11, 2020 Term 3 - Week 4

    Dear Parents & Community,

It is hard to believe that we are already up to Week 4 of this term. It has been incredibly busy for us with preparation for our four yearly external validation well under way. Whilst the EV doesn’t officially take place until next term, we are undertaking significant reviews of current and past programs, collection and analysis of data, and projection into the development of future programs. It is hard work, but is a very rewarding process when you see all that our school has achieved over the past few years.

    Being Mindful of Our Neighbours

I understand that when picking kids up from school it can often be difficult to find a park and at times stressful, however it is important that we respect our neighbours’ properties. Please be mindful when doing u-turns in people’s driveways and following the speed limit along Boundary Road. The safety of everyone in the community is paramount.

    Naming belongings

It is time to check that all clothing and equipment that your child brings to school is clearly labelled with their name. Things often get misplaced by students and if an item is clearly labelled it is easy for us to return it. Often names written in permanent marker will fade with time, so it is important to check these are still legible.

    Presentation Day

We have received enquiries from some parents regarding our 2020 Presentation Day.

    BAND NEWS

    Return to face-to-face band rehearsals:

Band rehearsals occur every morning from 7:50am to 9am in the school’s hall as follows:

We are implementing some measures to keep everyone safe and well. Please read the plan sent via email to all band parents on 13 July to fully understand what the conductors, parent supervisors and the children themselves will need to do.

    Key points to note:

All children must be well. Any sick child will not be allowed in the hall.

Physical distancing will be adopted during band rehearsals.

The school’s drop-off procedures are to be adhered to. So parents are not required to escort their child to the school hall, but instead leave their child at the school’s gate no earlier than 7:45am.

    Return to face-to-face tutor lessons:

The school has approved the return to onsite lessons at ENPS for students with their private tutors in Term 3. A summary of the requirements is as follows:

You may enter school ground and escort you child to the lesson classroom if your child's lesson is before 8am and after 3.30pm.

At any other time, please leave your child at the front gate as there will be plenty of teachers on the school ground between 8am-3.30pm.

Use sanitiser before start of lesson.

Your child is required to wipe down music stand and chair after end of lesson.

Where spit rag is provided, your child needs to discard that at the end of the lesson.
