There were a number of reasons behind this, namely staffing in the office and our ability to include student reports on events, which usually happen on a Friday. This will be our last Monday Newsletter so look for it now on a Tuesday. Last week was Book Week and our school was overflowing with lots of colourful characters from an enormous number of books. The theme for this year was ‘Reading is my Secret Power’ and we had lots of Super Heroes as well as many other characters. Congratulations on the creativity and huge effort everyone went to in our celebration of reading. Whilst on reading, next week we will have our annual Book Fair. A great opportunity to hone our reading skills. The Book Fair will be on Thursday 5 th September from 8.30am-12.30pm. Students will get an opportunity to look at the books prior to the day. School Photos are this Thursday 29 th August. The students will be expected to be in their winter school uniform. As these were rescheduled from Term 1 you may have forgotten what you originally ordered. If you wish to check please contact the office for confirmation. Any new families may wish to get an order from the office. This coming Friday we have lots on: The P & C will be holding their Father’s Day Stall. Prices will range from $1.00 - $10.00. The P&C will need some volunteers to assist with wrapping and sorting out items for the Fathers’ Day Stall after school this Wednesday 28 th August. Please come along if you can assist. Anyone involved in the Athletics Carnival on Friday will be able to buy their gift on Thursday at Lunchtime. The school will again host the Father’s Day Breakfast from 7:45am. Please RSVP by this Wednesday for catering. Good luck to all of our athletes taking part in the Riverina PSSA Athletics Carnival this coming Friday 30 th August in Albury. We have a good representation attending so we wish them well. Our Kindergarten 2020 Information Night will be held on Monday 2 nd September at 6.30pm. This is for parents of children beginning school next year. If you know of anyone who may be looking at starting a child next year please pass on our contact details. This week our PBL (Positive Behaviour for Learning) focus is to play by the rules which is part of being Respectful, Safe and Responsible. We expect children to play by the rules both in the classroom and playground. John Francis, Principal Principal’s Report Book Club Issue 6 Due: 9am Monday 2 nd September
