2 Play as much or as little as you choosea. Matches are scheduled for 90 minutes ($20) per person through the front deskb. Both players must agree on the timeframe of match before the court is reservedc. Matches can be booked up to seven days in advanced. You get five points for playing and five extra points (10 total) for winning

3 Scorecards and tennis ballsa. Provided at the front desk when you check inb. Return scorecard to the desk after your match

4 Scoringa. Two out of three sets, regular scoringb.In the event of split sets, a match tiebreak (first to 10 points by two) will determine the matchc. In the event of an incomplete match, the player with the most games won will be declared the winner

5 Tardiness is determined by the time arriving on court, not by the time of check-in to the cluba. Don’t be late and this won’t be an issueb. One to 15 minutes late = shortened warm-upc. Sixteen to 30 minutes late = Five minute warm-up + one set penaltyd. Thirty-one minutes or more minutes late = forfeit

6 Late cancellationa. In the event that you or your opponent has to cancel within 24 hours of your match, the player requesting the cancellation will be charged both players’ match fees

b. The player cancelling the match will receive zero points and the other will receive five points(Player must email the Tennis Director with any cancelled matches)

7 Standingsa. Will be determined by total points

Singles LadderLeague RegistrationThe Singles Ladder League provides competitive and fun singles play, for members at all levels.Enrolling and playing in the tennis Singles Ladder League is simple.• Pay a one-time administrative fee of $35.• Set up your own matches from the provided player list. (Levels will be listed with players’ names and contact information.)

• Pay $20 per participant each time you play a 90 minute match. (Balls and scorecards are provided.)

What makes this singles league unique —• You pay less than published court rates for singles play!• You can play as many or as few matches as you choose.• Members who do not return calls will not affect the league. Simply contact someone else!• The ladder rankings will be determined by points. Every time you play a match you accumulate five points.Win your match and earn an extra five points.

• All levels welcome.• The league will run January through April. Join any time. At the end of the league, the grand prize winner will receive a$100 gift card! Runner up will receive a $50 gift card! Use your gift card for any Columbia Association club service.

Official rules and player roster will be sent via email to all registrants.
