COURSE SYLLABUS

VISION

The College of Criminology seeks to develop and empower its students in criminal justice management administration, law enforcement and cyber crime education.

MISSION

The mission of the College of Criminology is to provide students with accessible, quality and value laden education in the field of criminal justice and criminology, thus give them the opportunity to relate, integrate and apply the multi-disciplinary concepts, theories and knowledge in their world of work so they become highly competent, ethical and dedicated professionals.

INTENDED PROGRAM OUTCOMES OF BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY

Graduates of B.S. Criminology program should be able to:

1. Demonstrate the needed skills and knowledge in the practice of Criminology and its allied fields;

2. Undertake research on crime prevention; law enforcement; criminal justice administration; juvenile justice administration; crime detection and investigation; application of forensic sciences to law enforcement and crime detection; psychology of crime and prevention; probation; parole and correctional administration;

3. Exhibit understanding on the constitutional guarantees and the process requirements in so far as it affects the total administration of justice;

4. Assume a higher concept of citizenry, leadership and understanding of ones moral, ethical and legal responsibilities to their fellowmen, community and country; and

5. Apply the learned knowledge and skills in valuing service to humanity.
