This Saturday our school will participate in the town

ANZAC DAY service in Callaghan Park. All students

are asked to meet outside the Police Station at

10.30am, wearing winter school uniform. Staff will

escort the T.P.S. students as they march to the

cenotaph. Our School Captains will lay a wreath on

our behalf to remember the fallen. On this very

important 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallip-

oli, we hope that as many students will march as

possible as a mark of respect. All students who

march in the T.P.S. uniform at the Temora, Spring-

dale or Barmedman services will receive a Fair Play

award for their efforts.

All students have been learning about the meaning

of Anzac Day in library time and have visited the

cenotaph as part of their studies. Older students

worked out that in WW1, ten percent of the male

population in Temora served in the war. Students

have made slouch hats, looked at uniform changes,

baked Anzac biscuits and read numerous picture

books about Anzac Day. This week, Kinder students

will look at the book, “My Grandad marches on

Anzac Day.”

Please come along to the march to help

us ensure the spirit lives on.

Students makes generous donation to Snack Shack

the Snack Shack from Stage 2 students,

following their successful fruit kebab

and taco making venture last term.

These yummy treats were enjoyed by all.
