Highlights
• British Ambassador Alice Walpole has
agreed to be the Patron of Telstar Group
• New website launched
• New data sharing tool launched for Telstar
officers (Dropbox)
• Sycamore Beaver Colony launched.
• Telstar now part of British Scouts Abroad

Scout Active Support (SAS) • 15 members led by Paula Skinner * We need a replacement for Paula who is standing down.
• Exec members are also automatically SAS
members
• SAS have helped with:- – Fund Raising
– Cooking
– Transport
– Special skills
• Socially active with monthly pub meeting
• One SAS/Leaders party chez Paula/Neil

Future ? • We are discussing with St George’s school the
building of a Telstar ScoutHome adjacent to the
new school gymnasium. The school is 100%
supportive but there are some land zoning
challenges. Hopefully a building start in 2013.
• Having started the second Beaver colony in
January 2012, we hope to be able to reduce the
Cub waiting list in early 2013 by starting a
second Cub pack.
• Telstar International Scout Group ASBL to be
moved to St George’s School address.
